Hello Saberfans!!! :D

It has been a long time in the making, and we're still fighting an uphill battle with supply, but we just couldn't wait any longer to debut these. Some people may have forgotten, but we have always provided an entry level, quality product in our stunt line. Whether it was the days of old when we did PVC stunts, or when we hand machined aluminum stunts or more recently with our popular Havoc and Fury stunt models.

When we had the Havoc and Fury made, and I got one in my hands, I thought "How cool would it be to offer these with an awesome soundboard that we didn't have to rip out of something else?". At the time, while we could have squeezed a PC inside, it wouldn't have made a very user friendly product. We needed a more elegant solution. Where do you go when you want elegant electronics? Plecter Labs baby!! :D We approached Erv' last year about our needs, and there must have been a planetary alignment, crop circle, or sale on ergonomic furniture somewhere because he agreed to build us a teeny tiny, super awesome soundboard for us to use in our stunts, and so that we, and our peers could use them in affordable, entry level products to offer the community. It opened up whole new doors for saber possibilities, and it was a darn fine board! Like everything Plecter Labs does, its artistry. People don't realize that this is Erv's art. Some people paint with oils, acrylics, or watercolors...Erv' paints with 01's and 0's.

There is a whole thread on the Crystal Shard, so I won't reiterate all of its features, only to say that we can now put them in sabers that before, wouldn't have been able to have quality sound and features only found on higher end soundboards. Some people were negative about the board, and put it down because it wasn't available for DIY'ers. Well, that's because it was a private commission and if it were to be retailed it would be too close to the price of the Petit Crouton to be viable. Also, with this awesome soundboard, it led to the development of the Nano Biscotte soon to be available at TCSS. See, good things always come to those who wait a bit ;)

We are now able to offer to you, the saber loving community, a slim, perfectly balanced Vader's Vault saber with Plecter Labs sound in a complete package starting at just $299. That's right, Plecter sound, TWO soundfonts, aux effects, the ability to change soundfonts, uber slim profile saber with quick change power cell solution WITH blade and charger for under $300 bucks!!

These are available in our standard colors of RED, AMBER, GREEN, BLUE, Pink, Yellow, White, Cyan,  OPPRESSION STOPPING PURPLISCIOUS PURPLE (OSPP) ;D, Sky Blue, and NEW TORange. 

Of course, we will offer upgraded features like 9W LEDs, Flash On Clash, powder coating and more.


The base package price for each saber will be:

$299USD + shipping will include saber with Crystal Shard 2.0 installed (2018 we are now on CS 4.0), 1 X 18650 Li-Ion cell (extras available for purchase), external charger, 32" Dual Diffused Vader's Vault Blade. Standard base price is with 3W LED in any of our colors listed above (no longer offered, now all Combat Class Sabers include the Suncrusher Tri LED. For Flash On Clash with the 3W mixed colors add $10

For a 9W Tri LED with FoC add $35USD  *EDIT Suncrusher LED NOW included on all Combat Class

NEW CHANGES TO THE FURY, CHASSIS, and SPEAKER!!!!!!

With this latest batch, we are so excited to announce that we have made some changes to this awesome and affordable line of sabers! First, the chassis. We were hand machining the previous chassis ourselves and with the limitations of manual machines as well as the time involved to machine those chassis (two full days for two dozen of them :o :'() we had to make them shorter than we would have liked. This led to some inevitable separation between the battery holder and the chassis during use for some people. We had a new chassis designed, one that was full length and fully supported the battery holder with no joint.

Since we came out with the line, we have been testing, and testing, and testing different speakers from different manufacturers around the globe. While the PUI speaker that we have been using has been great, one of the sample speakers we received last year was incredible. It is a 3W 4ohm 20mm speaker. Yes, the new little guy you see at TCSS ;) It may be small, but it has INCREDIBLE bass response, frequency range, and decibel level. It blows away speakers with much bigger diaphragms and the same specs. It is literally twice as loud as the current speaker. Tim at TCSS was kind enough to help us out with getting these speakers and if you have a small install that you need big sound from (Korbanth hilts come to mind....), this speaker will blow your mind.

The Fury model was originally designed and produced with flat milled channels for the grips. This was in anticipation for being able to mold rubber grips for them. We tried doing it ourselves and could not get the consistency or shore hardness we wanted. Tim at TCSS again came to our rescue and we developed a mutually beneficial product. We were able to get molded a nice low profile rubber grip that fits in the Fury (V1 version, and current version, V2 version with rounded flutes not supported) and is also available at TCSS for install on MHS pieces (with custom work milling).

This is one step above though. We now have these same incredible hilts with the new Crystal Shard soundboard! This is just too cool. Let the saber dueling begin!!

Having all those extra options (FoC, powder coating, 10W LEDs etc) is the icing on the cake here. A fully decked out Fury or Havoc would be such a sight to see!

Personally, I love my Havoc and Fury for dual wielding 8) one of each, for variety. Plus I use my mouth with my stunts for a soundboard :P unlimited fonts :D

This proto is using a 3W 4 ohm speaker. I feel it isn't as loud even as it could be with a speaker that is being "driven" one thing I've learned is that you don't want a speaker that's way above the amp that's driving it.  I have a few more to try before I settle on one. The 5 that are already sold are getting what will probably be the final speaker. I will post specs on it when its settled.

These sabers are so easy to operate and enjoy, even baby Ewan can do it :D

Will you guys be offering an upgrade service for existing stunts in the near future? I would love to supe up my OSPP Havoc saber with the Havoc soundfont, it just makes sense! :D

We will (eventually) be offering it, yes :D.  We have had some challenges keeping any stock of these.  Our preferred machinist is very overloaded and we have been trying for a year now to find someone who can do these in bulk and thus far have not found someone who can do the quality we expect (we are spoiled by Orbital Machining's phenomenal quality and attention to detail) and at a price that keeps them affordable.  So, as of yet, we have not been able to get a stock of vented pommels which will be needed for the upgrade.  As soon as we do, we will make an announcement here on FX with upgrade options :).

This is fantastic deal indeed at 300USD!!! I am a big fan of The Fury model (a member of our local lightsaber group has one) and it is the most balance, light, and comfortable saber I have ever held in my hands.

If you just want a standard green with no FoC, the only extra charge is for the powdercoating which is $25.

Yeah I don't want FOC. I'm down for a saber in August though. Think you can hold one for me until then? So Shadow Fury with green blade, sound package, red av button. I can do the 324. I might add an extra 10 so you can add another second sound font on the sd card. I'd want Episode 2. Thats a Jedi font yeah? In the future I'm just going to come to you guys for custom sabers, even though you will be having a full line of buyable sabers. :D I'm really excited for you guys. For both fonts though I would like the blade shimmer or whatever its called to be activated, where it kinda flashes on and off. I don't know how to call it. I want it to look like the Episode 2 lightsaber blades.

I can't believe I'm doing this, I had convinced myself that CS-31 was the only saber I needed, with it's quick detach LED set up and my multiple color LED's, but I just can't resist a saber with Plecter Labs sound and REAL FoC â„¢ (;)) for around $300. Especially one that comes from a business that has a fantastic reputation for build quality and customer service.

I seem to recall reading a post a while back that said something to the effect of "If you want to compete in the affordable saber market, build a saber whose price point is either the same or cheaper."

I'd say Vader's Vault has now done just that. To quote the famous line from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar : "Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war!"  ;D

These will make great trooping sabers for those in the RL and 501st and other performers.  As if an 18650 doesn't give a solid runtime, all you have to do is slide the chassis out and pop another charged cell in! Buy a couple extra AW cells and you' d be good to go for a whole day at a con.

Incidently, what is the rough estimate for the runtime with a FOC setup and say a Ledengin 10 w?  I figure its well over an hour.

I know mine don't have soundboards, but my two stunts have that battery setup and the runtime is just CRAZY. Seriously you can't run these things out if you try. They keep going and going...

Yeah, I might have to invest in an AW 3100mAh 18650.
Not that the Trustfire 2400mAh 18650 wont do the job, but the AW should give an insane runtime. :D

I went with the "Shadow Fury" with a RRW tri-Rebel w/ FoC.
Now to decide what SoundFont to use in this bad boy :D
I will do a nice review once I have it in hand.
Cant wait. ;D

I haven't decided what font I want on it, I've bought most of Madcow's, I may just pick a font when the time comes, then when I get it, swap them out to see what sounds best in the saber. Really leaning towards Madcow's Vader for this.

Those waiting for the next batch (Havocsâ„¢ and Furiesâ„¢), the machining is done and they are on the way ;D.  We will begin taking deposits when the hilts arrive.  Keep in mind, custom Tri-Rebel set-ups will take at least a few weeks.  It can take several days for them to produce them and then it takes 1-2 weeks for us to receive them from Luxeonstar :).  This also means anyone wanting one for CVI with a custom set up, needs to order fairly soon once we open up deposits.

Which LED set up will mine have? I asked for either the 10W or Tri-Rebel set up, which ever gives the brightest, most evenly lit blade.

I still can't believe what's now possible with the CS, a hilt so thin, and under 11 inches, but will have FoC AND an 18650 battery...amazing. Just think, we might have PC's that will be around the size of the CS in the next 5 years+!  :D

Jedi Exile,  I believe VV plans to test the tri rebel vs the 10 watt ledengin for the best OSPP. Being the masters of the purple blade, I'm sure whichever led they use will be perfect! I'm also getting a 10 watt OSPP and also asked for the best version in their opinion. I look forward to their results!

So far, OSPPâ„¢ is not looking good with the Tri-Rebels :'( :'( :'(.  The purple produced is very lavender, not a saturated color at all :'(.  We are going to probably stick with LEDEngins for purples.  We are going to try to test the Royal Blue, Red, White combo to see if the Royal Blue and Red will produce a more saturated purple, but if not, the LEDEngin does produce a great saturated Mace Windu type shade. 

Theory: The regular rebel blue is a very pale blue which leads us to believe it is binned towards the green/cyan side of blue. 

True purple is the absence of green, so you really don't get a good purple with any green in the mix :-\.

We are hoping that the Royal Blue won't be too far towards the UV :-\.  If so, that isn't going to be so hot either, but we don't know until we try it :).  So, we are placing another order as we speak to give it a try.  People on the original order with upgraded purples will get 10W LEDEngins, which we know and love.  People who order on the next batch will have the option of the LEDEngin, or waiting until we test the RB R W to decide which they would prefer, or they can just order a LEDEngin for (much) faster processing :).

We are working on completing the rest of the first order as we speak and should be signing up the next batch soon :).

I don't think there will be much of a problem getting silver, although I would probably go with the Royal Blue instead of the blue for a silver similar to what a LEDEngin produces as the LEDEngins range between 450-465 nm.  The blue rebel is 470 nm, as is the blue CREE, whereas the Royal Blue is 447.5.  We'll keep playing around with them :).  Thing is unless the Tri-CREEs prove out better than the Tri-Rebels for color mixing, the LEDEngins are going to be a better bet for both V6 and Igniterâ„¢ as well.  Let me qualify by saying brightness is NOT the issue.  The RBW was plenty bright, there was just no color saturation so it looked like a washed out lavender instead of a nice purple :-\.

Will do, but the FoC wouldn't be Cyan. It'll just mix and be additive and there's really no telling what color you'll end up with. Also, we haven't received our Royal blue, Red, White Tri Rebs yet, but we did get a Royal Blue, Red, White Tri-Cree and the results were a good mix.

Just an update on LED testing:

We haven't got in our Tri-Rebel Royal Blue, Red, White's yet for testing, but we did get that combo in a Tri-Cree and the results were very good. I am hopeful that the Rebel version will do well too. Now we just have to see which of the two set ups is better than the other LOL! ;D

Right now, we're trying to keep the FoC die white so we can start keeping a regular stock of the LEDs. Having to wait for custom orders/configs and then also paying the extra $25 makes that prohibitive. The white die for FoC, is very dramatic and works quite well as the Rebel white is really bright. Remember, the third die is additive in color so you don't really get a desired 'color' for FoC unless it's a known combo like RRG/GGR for a yellow FoC. White just works best for all colors.

9W :D.  I think you were listed as 10W because originally we were going to use LEDEngins.  The single cell 18650 just doesn't drive a LEDEngin well and we were unhappy with the brightnesss.  The RB R W CREEs have turned out very bright and produce a nice purple :), so that is what the final decision for the purples was :).

Luminara,  I recieved a PM from Star Killer about that and changed mine to the Tri Led (RB R W Crees) with OSPP. I realize the battery solution is what it is, but how does the Tri Led compare to a properly driven 10 watt Led Engin for an evenly mixed, lit blade, and is the the color a true OSPP?

It is as bright as a properly driven LEDEngin.  I think the color is closer to OSPPâ„¢ than what we were able to achieve with the LEDEngin when wired in series (which was most of LEDEngin builds) so was pinker than OSPPâ„¢.

All of these just shipped out this morning.  You should all be receiving shipping notifications with tracking numbers either through USPS or through Paypal in the next few hours :).  If, for some reason, you do not get a tracking number by this evening PM me and we will try to look it up when we stop at the hotel for the night.  Getting in the car (hopefully within the hour ::)).

To all those who ordered purple sabers.  With the Tris and the 18650 combo, they take about 45 seconds to settle in to their color.  These Tris are incredibly bright and draw a lot of current and since the blue and red are on opposite ends of the spectrum it seems to take a bit to even out.  So PLEASE no FREAKING out thinking we made you a girly pink saber :D.  It will be magenta when you turn it on until the blue fades in about 30-45 seconds later. 

These are the brightest purples we have done to date!  Enjoy :D.

Yep.  There is no way to help it.  These LEDs suck juice.  A lot of juice.  It takes a bit for the two LEDs to sort of get in sync with one another.  Although, if you just turned it off and turn it right back on it happens more quickly.

No Crystal Shard is not an LED Driver so you do not adjust current on the card.   

The only other option is to go with a different LED solution.  The Tris are twice as bright as the LEDEngin with this set up.  So you can send it back and we can change it out for a LEDEngin, but it won't be as bright.  The other option is the 3W which is probably slightly brighter than the LEDEngin with this set up as it is over driven whereas the LEDEngin is starving with the single 18650.

Honestly, it just takes a little bit to fade in to a nice bright purple.  To be able to get a purple this bright is worth 30-45 secs, IMHO :D.

Telum Regalis was series with a 7.4V battery.  You cannot run a high powered LED in series off of a 3.7V battery ;).  It has to be parallel.  With the Tris, there is a dramatic difference in power requirements between the blue and the red.  Also being on different ends of the spectrum, they activate differently.  The red sucks more power initially and the blue then comes into its own.  We tune these for the color that is going to be on the saber for the rest of the hour or more.  

It's really a minor thing.   These are superbright at a great price!  And, the soundcard is awesome :).

Thanks Luminara for the tip! At the end of the day, getting OSPP in the Brightest Purple setup to date, I'm ok with 30-45 seconds of it settling in!  Thanks again for making this run! I can't wait to turn mine on and hear "Korriban" coming out with that mad bright OSPP!

Awesome, I love learning the more technical side about setting LED colors up vs. battery set up and power requirements. Always nice to learn something new.

I hope I didn't come off like I was complaining too much, I have no intention of doing or deciding anything till I've had some time with it in person first.

If they're as bright as you're saying, the brightness of the blade may actually blind your eyes enough to not really notice it too much since will also take several seconds for your eyes to adjust when first powering it on. Especially in a darkened room.

By the way, since I never specified a font for it, what will mine have on it?

They come with Lightmeat as the default, unless you own/bought a font and specifically asked us to put something else on it.  The SD Card is so easy to change that  you can really put whatever you want on them.  Please don't forget to back up your configs :) prior to changing your sound fonts :).

Oh, I have fonts, believe me you.  :D I've only got every major font by Madcow, so I have plenty of options.  :P

I too love Korriban, possible favourite font over here as well :) very cool idea to use it with the OSPP colour! Plus you can swap it out for Shatterpoint if you feel like a change!

Just got my OSPP Shadow Fury and I'm lovin the color and design  ;D, however I received the wrong size and tipped blade. Tried to pm but both mail boxes but they full. I'll leave a full review later but dont want to play around with a blade I have to return. Its going to be hard to resist though!

Each of the purples had a different drive setting and I know yours did for sure.  That is why we always everyone to make a copy :-\.  With the default drive setting yours will probably be too blue once it settles in.  We do not keep copies of everyone's configs on these as we sell too many.  However, I would pull the drive down to 800 and see if your color stabilizes better.

It's OK, the one setting I remembered was that one because I figured it was for the current, it was set on 750.  ;)

I run around with my toddler all day with another son coming in 5 weeks.  So besides reading front page of thread for first time today, I don't have much chance to follow thread.  I would really love one of these with a tri-rebel and foc.  Any available or ways of getting one?  I'll try and keep up better.  Possibly wanting purple and don't care about mix delay due to blue and red voltage requirements.  Just such a cool saber!

I snagged the Fury off Timo recently, and I will say that it's a very cool hilt.  VERY small (I'm shocked at the size really) and simple enough to be a solid combat saber.  It's going to Veldryne here eventually, but until then it's MINE!   ;D

Oh, and the one I have uses a Tri-rebel, so it's white with blue FoC.  VERY cool combo if anyone is interested in that particular color.

IDK if this is the right place to post this question or if i should have messaged you but I thought maybe others would be interested.
It seems to me that most everyone tends to go with OSPP or your TORange I am wondering what is the advantage of each and do you guys at VV have favorite colors that you think look especially good etc? I mean even in your own review of the sabers you guys used OSPP. I feel like I dont have information to make an informed decision about a color choice : /

We had a variety of them at CVI (I was holding them for a customer) and I gotta say I love them all :D The Red and Green were awesome! Of course we love purple, but TORange isn't a color you see often and it is quite impressive (IMO). I'm more of a 'Sithy' color guy anyhow, so that resonates with me. Ki Adi Mundi, Simpi Gon, and DARTH MAUL can vouch for the brightness of pretty much all the colors, I think I was only lacking a TORange as it had already been delivered.

The reason why you see OSPPâ„¢ so often on our sabers is because purple is my favorite color and at the time when we entered the industry, there weren't many purple sabers out there.  Most of the available purples were done by filtering (yuck) or you had Mace MRFXs which used blue LEDs with a pink diffuser (LOL!).  I was unhappy with any of the purples available and we got into color mixing and coined OSPPâ„¢.  As a result, VV is "known" for its purples.  I love all colors but purple is my favorite ;D.  I also think the blue is awesome :).  Alan has always wanted to do orange and we have never been fond of amber which is traditionally dim and sort of a yellowish orange.  We wanted more of a true orange and when SWTOR first came out we found that we were always looking for orange crystals for our sabers (you couldn't get purple until LVL 50 at that time).  So, TORangeâ„¢ was born and, again, VV has sort of been known for it as no one else was doing it regularly, although others like LDM have certainly also done some nice oranges.

So to answer your question Mkadvil, I think sometimes people already have a bunch of blue, green, and red sabers because everyone does those, but they look to us for the purple and orange because we do them well and we offer them regularly in our line up :).  Every color we offer with these sabers is super bright and I wish we had some of those pics from the PUB at CVI so you could see them just sort of out in the wild :D.  The Tris just do a great job, particularly with the single 18650 which gives them all the current they want for a super bright blade!

I just sent my Fury back to switch out the LED from a BBW to a RBW. The BBW was CRAZY bright, I just decided that I wanted a purple saber and I have another saber that is already using a BBW. But the brightness is stunning like LUMI said.

Hmm.....I dunno. But it has the plug for US outlets. I'll check to make sure. If it does handle 240 then you'll just need an adapter for the plug.

I can answer that one for you. Australia uses 240v mains and the chargers are fine to use over here :)

You just need the three pin adapter for US to Australian plugs so it fits in the wall ;)

Nope, no special ones are needed.  Although I will say that the blade socket is deeper than standard MHS (a good thing for dueling).  But you can situate it to be flush with the face of the emitter using the setscrew if you want.

What's happenin', guys? I'm a little worried cause I'm new to the forums but also at becoming a potential buyer of some of the most awesome sabers...I saw 2 new sabers on YouTube and understand that someone's picked them up already. My question is where do I go and what needs to be done if I want to purchase some of the mid-line sabers?

It's all good...I appreciate the insight! I'm more interested in their Midrange saber lines and just wanted to know how to go about purchasing one. Although, I did recieved a response yesterday about what I needed to do.

Today I received my saber plugs, passed my last exam and got my HD camera.  I'm in pre-production of a short surprise Star Wars movie and I need my VV stunt for it soon...  ;)

OK guys, we actually ended up with one extra Furyâ„¢ ;D.  If someone wants it prior to Christmas and with the upgraded LED, it would need to be OSPPâ„¢ or Green as those are the only two colors I have left in the Tris, anything else I would have to order and it is too close to the holiday to ensure I could get it in time.  We also can do any of the mixed colors with the DX RGB and FoCâ„¢, or just solid color 3W with no FoCâ„¢.  This Fury can be done as a Shadow if someone should desire. 

So ONE Furyâ„¢ now available, first come, first serve :D.

you can always get a simple saber and add small details yourself that can change everything :)  I'll see when I get mine, but I'd lke to do that. 

Adding leather, a shroud, or anything you want can change a very simple saber into something else! (I'm not saying VV stunts do not look good BTW, I'm talking in general)

Okay I got mine...  Wow, this thing is incredible!

It looks way better than on pictures and the size is just perfect!  It's pretty bright and I'm in love with the white FoC.  I prefer the sound of my PC 1.6, but it's still pretty good, and the clash works WAY better.  I didn't really care for the lockup, but now that I have it and it's so awesome, I wish there's was a lockup option on that board.  I clashed two sabers together for the first time and can't wait to bring them to the Christmas party tonight!

BTW, I really like the pommel.

Just a quick question, what's the saber's runtime with a full charge?

Totally agree with Blackluc. I got my Havok Christmas Eve and it was STUNNING when I took it out. It is a mean looking little guy that packs a punch. Sound is great, nice and loud with the clarity similar to a CF4.x, and the Tri Rebel Blue is nearly as bright as a 10W Ledengin I have. This was totally a bargain and I am completely satisfied with this saber! Nice going VV!

I really admire your work.  I am new to the saber scene...

I want to buy two of your sabers for my son and myself.

I love your Invictus saber, but I reckon like that would cost too much for me!  at least for now

For now, I'm thinking:

- one dark havoc, TORange, COF to white/yellow I guess, for me
- one fury, blue, COF to white/green I guess, for my son
- strongest blades, if possible enough for real kendo sparring, like with bokken or shinai
- the crystal shard sound
- 9W or 10W RGBA LEDs
- can the main color be changed or tuned by internal potentiometers, or similar?  the COF color?
- maybe some gold powder coating for the dark havoc, not sure how would
  that look?  hope it would look bad!  :)
- maybe covertec wheels, can you recommend a belt?

Is the blue color bright?  If not, maybe OSPP would be better.
It think it would be cool if we can digitally tune or program the RGBA over USB!
I guess that tech is not yet.

The run is done.  If you really want VV sabers then you should post in the wanted section. 

I own an ospp saber and it's really bright, but I know blue is really bright too.  If you want the covertec, you can just buy a clip and have it on your regular belt instead of buying an expensive belt, unless it is for costuming.

We will be doing another batch momentarily ;). We are just swamped with customer builds, Starkiller stuff and a whole slew of other projects in the works. The only thing we DO NOT offer on these hilts is any sort of color changing set up. A: there's just NO room for it in these hilts. Owners can testify on how slim and low profile they are. B: It would be cost prohibitive to put into this range/line of sabers. Color changing (done properly) takes the higher end Crystal Focus with color mixing daughter board and that set up alone is 2/3rds the cost of a base model saber. Different color FoC can be done to a certain degree, but the flash die just 'mixes' with the main blade so the resultant color is only a best guess until it's installed and working. The first page of this thread gives a price list of the sabers and the available options. Powder coating is $25 PER Color. Our main option is the Shadow/Dark version which is black and that is what is priced at the $25.

As STARKILLER knows, I am helping spread the word on Facebook to the groups I am on. More people need sabers like these.  ;)

Oh, and for the record, my Fury was used last weekend in mine and Nova's Saber Combat workshop where we did a great deal of saber sparring. It worked like a champ!  :D

First post updated :).  One last Furyâ„¢ and 3 Havocsâ„¢ still available with this batch.  Remember, these have the new upgraded 3W speakers (yes I know TCSS description says 2W, but they are actually 3W/4ohm).  Also, the new chassis as well!  Anyone want to hop on? ;D  These will start shipping in the next couple of weeks ;D.

It varies.  FYI, normally we take a deposit at the time of placing your order and then it is 3-4 weeks before the balance is due so it does give you a little bit of time to save up :).

Luminara - I'm curious re the Fury 'Elite' powdercoating (for it's own sake and for when they might be available in future) - would it be as the 'dark fury', but with some or all of the bare parts in trans gold, or a different scheme? It's be great to see pics when you have them.

Pics should be available in the next couple of days as we are finishing those up now :).  They are not the same as the Dark, as they are meant to be more of a Psuedo-Mace, Jedi scheme.  They have gold trim on the emitter ring, the central rings and the pommel.  The addition of the black grip strips make it look like a simplified Mace, or what could have been Mace's practice saber.

To add: The Elite includes a full body polish, then trans gold on the emitter, center rings, and parts of the pommel, as well as some black on the pommel.

I think they have an OD of around 1.25". I have a pair of "Havoc's" and they are EXTREMELY comfortable to wield/spin.  ;)

@Darth Smorgis, you can buy the grips at TCSS and give them a try.  We did do it for another customer and they do fit, we just do not feel that are quite as stable as they are on the version that was specifically made for them.  Your mileage may vary.

@Sethski, need to do a few batches of SKs and get that run closer to completion and then we'll look at more of these :).

I have my I have, it's on production right now, nice lil' Dark Havoc plus some special options...( i'll do a video revew)

Dear Starkiller, I will save money for the next one, it will probably be one of your "negociator" line which I found totaly uber for a guardian!!
Ice blue blade it will be.

Or if I am lucky with my commissions, I will go for a prototype design and the options that comes along^^

Also, let me know when you'll have couplers again, I was looking at the  Fury to team it with my Havoc and make it a double blade or a dual weild....still wondering...

Guys what do you think...? it's for a Sith became Jedi and staying into the grey side.
Havoc is a Dark side saber but already leaning towards a lighter path (TOR orange blade) and the Fury willbe a Jedi saber but again , leaning towards grey so probably Veridian green.
That s trhe character story, what saber if not the Fury ( elite version) would fit my background and the use I want for it...?.( price is sensitive, kind of)

I actually modified mine when the chassis came unglued from the battery holder.  Just drilled and tapped a through and attached the two with a setscrew.  Never had a problem after that.  :D

I'm also curious about upgrading to a new CS2 with all the features.

Just out of curiosity; on your website store for blade color options, is the Silver (Imperial Knight) option a Blue-mixed-with-White set up or a Cool White LED? And also are the combat sabers going to now have the new CS V2?  Been debating between building my own second saber, or buying one of yours. haha

On the IK the silver is a B and W (cool), the W option is a cool white.  We can also mix silver with an RGB set up.  The tone is slightly different, but both awesome colors.

And yes, all combat class sabers are now available with CS2 :).

I'm quite interested in a pair of Battle Wrapped Havoc sabers, but have a couple questions.
1)  Does Vader's Vault plan on selling a vented coupler for the Havoc for a saber staff configuration?
2)  Can the covertec wheels be mounted on the Havoc pommel (instead of the hilt) so that they won't interfere with said saber staff setup?

1) Yes. Soon. ;)
2) No, they can't be mounted on the pommel as there isn't enough 'flat' surface area to mount it to. They could possibly be mounted on the coupler, but I won't really know until I get them in hand.

The covertecs are optional, so you could order without if you don't want any protrusions.  Also if you want covertecs when you are using them as single blades but not when it is a staff, they can be removed.

Yeah - those are absolutely my concerns.  Anyone who has ever use a saber staff one handed knows what a pain in the xxx covertec wheels can be if they are mounted in the middle of the staff.  But I think the Battle Wrap Havoc lends itself to wearing it on your hip better than most due to it's small size.  And I really don't want to punch holes in the leather grip for covertec wheels (I can see the grip shifting when the covertecs are removed, making them difficult to put back on. Or worse, tearing the leather!).  So I want my cake, and eat it too!  I thought mounting the covertec wheel on the pommel would resolve all these concerns, but it doesn't have a flat section big enough for mounting. 
So two possible solutions come to mind:
1)  Machine a flat spot on the pommel to mount a plain covertec.  Kind of clunky I'll admit, but preferable to putting holes in the leather wrap.
2)  Use modeling clay to build a mold for a custom covertec that could be cleanly mounted on the pommel.  Then send it to Shapeways to have them machined in aluminum or brass.  To me, this option seems like the better of the two.  And if Vader's Vault ever plans on offering a Battle Wrap Havoc Saber Staff Package (hint, hint!) then this would seem like a very economical option (i.e. for someone mass producing said covertec wheels) to maintain the integrity of all the different configurations (single blade, twin blade, saber staff, pike, etc).

Either way, I really like what you have built with your combat saber line.  In my opinion, it meets the needs of what a sparring lightsaber should be in its purest sense.  Well done.

After my last post, it was bugging me and I was already out in the shop so I mocked it up. I can place the covertec on the pommel and the outside edges will sit on the flat ridges of the pommel but there will be a gap underneath the middle of the wheel where the taper of the pommel is. Shouldn't negatively affect anything but aesthetics. It can be done and accommodated. Just put it in the order notes reminding me of it.

That's awesome news.  So I can have my cake and eat it too!  The covertecs would stay off most of the time, but if and when I needed them - presto - screw them to the pommels.  All I'm waiting for now is for the Havoc coupler to be released......

I just happened to stumble across this picture of a Dark Havoc with the covertec wheel installed on the pommel (props to Solo's Hold and Darth Alice).  As is the case with most things lightsabers, somebody else has already figured out how to do what I want to do.  So I figured I'd post the pic so you could see how it was mounted.  Esthetically, I think it looks pretty good.  Functionally, it looks awesome!

And one more question about a Battle Wrap Havoc Saber Staff: can you make sure that the activation switches are aligned and that the covertec wheels are mounted on opposite sides of the pommel for each saber (i.e. a left and right hand saber for either sides of your belt)?  I assume this requires that the vented coupler and pommels be attached before any holes are drilled, so I just wanted to confirm with you before any work got underway.  It's the little touches that are going to make this an epic build!  ^-^

Finally, what is your estimated lead time on a stock build like this?  I usually ship my US purchases to the Canadian/US border to avoid extra taxes & import duties, so I need to plan this around my next trip south of the border.

Aligning the switches  with the coupler will take some work, but 'can' be done, on the stand alone pommels it's not too hard at all. Our lead time on these is about 2 weeks give or take. As far as how you want them on the stand alone pommels, it would be easier to have it that when on the belt, the switch faces out. Is that how you want it? This way, it wouldn't really matter which saber is on which side of the belt, but the switches would be facing out.

It 'can' come in any color you want ;D. We haven't decided what dark color (shade of black or other) we're going to do for a "Dark" version as we have a few new ones to try out. Other trim packages will appear as we have time to play..er....experiment :))

If you do a dark tempest I think shadow chrome would be better than all black. That way it's still dark but it has that chrome appeal which would compliment the curvitures. Just my .02

Is that a CS only feature? Honestly, if it is that is very cool. It helps set the shard apart from it's consumer available cousins, and adds another distinct feature to production sabers like your own.

Right now pulse is only available on CF and CS.  There are a lot of other new features coming to the CS 2.5 as well ;).

We are hoping to have them back in stock by May.  There was a delay in manufacturing and we are going to be out of the shop for 10 days mid/late April so shooting for May at this point :)

I also already ordered Ardent Elite. Last 1 week I have been lurking on VV's Battle-wrapped Havoc and REV-N Elite. Can't decide which one should I go next.. or should I get both since I missed the first Flex run.. or should I wait for the second Flex run or other VV-awesome-run like (like Flex with Crystal Chamber or TLOTR-flavor saber)

they are currently overrun by an insane amount of new orders and have been for the whole year so far. Custom orders have a wait list of several years right now (I think more than 5?).
If you are aware of this, try again with an email and put "SECOND ATTEMPT" in the subject line, as some mails get lost in the sea of requests.

it would still take somewhere between 16 and 20 weeks, but it would be a couple years faster, yes.

To the best of my knowledge they haven't. The best thing to do is follow their official Facebook page. They usually announce any restocks there first.

Actually we are very active.  We just are busy building sabers so are not answering much.  We have had production delays with the Wraths and do not currently have an ETA  :cry:.  We will announce as soon as we have something to announce regarding them :).
