Peace be upon all,

Je-Rel Drood - thanks for the feedback, I'll be sure to let her know. She's holding my good ol' Yoda FX saber.

Delta - that was some trooper running to get my autograph when he heard I was leaving  ;)

Vosk - Cool shirt even though Obi-Wan gets my vote  :D

I saw a shirt at Wally World (Wal-Mart) last night that I had to get.  So here is yours truly wearing the shirt.  I'll also post a closer up pic of it.

I want that shirt.

Peace be upon all,

Last night I created a photo gallery webpage of the images we took at The Force Unleashed Launch Party in San Francisco earlier this week.
These same photos can be seen at the end of the video I posted but some people want to see the images in detail by themselves. The page was made for family and friends only and is therefore password protected. Since you all are part of my virtual family here is the link, username and password...

Hope you enjoy,

Peace be upon all,

Darth Matth - I really appreciate your concern bro. Thanks for mentioning that and having my back. Not to worry though since there is nothing super private or revealing in the gallery but we still wanted to steer it towards family, friends and Star Wars fans. Anyone coming to this forum is at least generally interested in some aspect of the Star Wars universe so I don't mind sharing it with them and inviting them deeper into this fun little world of ours  ;)

Feel free to share the link with family and interested friends of yours as well.

Not to get way off topic but I was just having this discussion -- how younger generations raised with the web have an unprecedented willingness to "expose" themselves, how much "open source intel" exists on them via myspace, linkedin, google, etc. and how that effects social norms now and into the future. Presently people are even putting their own genetic codes on the web, which makes me wonder about certain consequences. But generally I tend to believe that if you don't have any important secrets or devious enemies, sharing most base personal info doesn't matter. If no one nefarious is paying attention to you, you can "expose away" without "blow back." But I suppose that could easily change, we'll see.

Anyway, love the pics Bin Adam, looks like good fun. I can't believe Lucas was there at the Best Buy, cool :D

Awesome pics Brother Bin Adam!

Hullbreach maybe this would be a good thread to start.  Call me paranoid, but I have had innocuous, innocent information used against me, and I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to imagine innocent information being twisted to suit others' purposes.

Obviously we want a certain amount of sharing, that's how we're growing close to people we've never (or hardly) met, and I've taken online friendships into real time, but the same can be said for the opposite direction.  Posting genetic information?!  Oh, I could go on for pages here... (or on a separate thread)

Peace be upon all,

Just a quick note to say thanks to those who encouraged me to try this and I finally learned to apply lightsaber effects to my personal images using a tutorial from YouTube! I still have a lot of practicing to and I kind of have my own way I like to do it but it's a lot of fun and I hope others try it. Unfortunately I have lots of photos to retouch now  :-[
my first samples are attached here...

-Bin Adam

ps... that's a deep subject you touched on Hullbreach that I have some reflections on as well bro

Nice work Bin! :)

I found a photoshop tutorial at theforce.net I saved that's probably either the same one or similar. You might want to soften or diffuse/desaturate the color a little because it looks kinda...unreal, despite it being a really cool color :) I use the Color Balance option in photoshop and just use the Mid Tones and Highlights with Preserve Luminosity checked. Mid Tones most of the time is less than the Highlight settings... Just a little something ;)

Hmm... I really should type up that tutorial to post lol

Again great work, my friend!

Nice! Ya know...it would be cool if someone figured out how to make an X-Wing really fly...despite the lack of aerodynamics.
