Well done on the Obi-Wan review, and a great job from MR's themselves. I can get past the fat neck part on this saber with the saber being as great as it is for wielding. If i really wanted one movie accurate to display I would just get the LE.

cool review, really
I liked a lot, this is convincing!!!
To be honest in the past I disagree with your too much (in my opinion) enthusiastic review of the Maul but this review sounds honest and well written, sounds me like a tale  (ahem... I'm not in position to judge your english of foruse lol...)
I liked the shots, a lot, especially the last one ehehehehe

thanks
Gio

Great review! In-depth and informative.
Thanks to your review, now I know that I have a normal Obi-Wan.
I was kinda suspicious when the swinging and the clash sounds were kinda hard to trigger.

really? I have a couple of Vader ESB (my PRECIOUS lol) and they have different behaviour (one trigger for nothing, one is very hard to trig)
but if this is the standard behavior for the Obi (??) uhm.. maybe the blade is better inserted into hilt (more robust, less sensitive)?
I need to wait October (xxx Europe...) to try for myself...

Well, that's what Aayla said, and I'm confirming it.
I might still want to know whether this is a standard behaviour for an Obi-Wan. Anyone?

The blade is certainly inserted better into the hilt. Like all Force FXs, it does wobble at least somewhat... moreso than the Maul even, but not so much as other Gen 3 lightsabers. The sturdier blade might account for the less sensetive motion and clash sounds, that's a good suggestion. However, as I stated, I do know that the sounds in all of my FXs were initially harder to activate when they were brand new. The only exceptions are probably the Luke ESB and Mace ROTS.

Outstanding review Aayla.  I'm new here but i've read a few of your other reviews and they're all extremely detailed and well written...you're definately a very talented writer.  The Obi-Wan FFX is my first saber, and I love it and have heard only good things about it on the forum.  To make it short: a very awesome review of a very awesome saber!
