Absolutely. I only have Artoo, Threepio and Yoda from my original collection, but they do mean a lot to me.
They are in well played with, but intact condition, and would probably be worth nothing to a collector.
I do wish I still had my old Falcon toy. I got it for christmas one year and still remember well how totally thrilled I was to recieve the present I had asked for.
The toy was sold out almost everywhere that christmas and my mother had travelled a 400 mile round trip to get it for me. I really should appreciate my mother more.
You can't beat memories of childhood christmases with your family, and I know that for many people the old Kenner toys represent just that.  ;)

Excactly Timmy!  That's the point! Souvenir souvenir! But it's not nostalgia for me, I'm really happy to have my age, and I don't feel nostalgic of my youth;)  It's just the pleasure of the nice souvenirs;)

Well, I'gonna make some pics of what I've here asap.  It will be more difficult for those I gave to my Nephiew;) I'll do some pics next time I'll go to his house;)

Be patient, I'm restoring My Tie Fighter. The stickers on the wings are dead by the time. the glue dryed, and they felt down.

I made some scan of those who remains, and printed enouh to make the 4 faces of the two wings.

I only have to glue them again;)

After that, i'll make some pics.

Excellent, Louis. I wish I had a camera so I could post pics. But most of my stuff is in storage anyway, so I couldn't photograph it.

I do feel a bit nostalgic of my youth, I had some really good times, but I understand what you mean by being happy  with your age. Life is easier in some respects when you get a bit of experience behind you. You get taken more seriously by others, and have a better idea of what you want from life. I wouldn't want to be a kid again. Too many complications.

That's a nice solution to the peeling sticker problem. You can find replacement stickers on Ebay, but they are probably using the same method as you are, so you have saved yourself some money, and with your background as an artist, you can probably do a better job.  ;)

If my memory serves they did two kinds before the electronic Hasbro-type we have now.  One was inflatable sabers with flashlights in them, and the other was a molded plastic with air holes to make a "woosh"ing sound.

The funny part is Curt at Collector's Gallery has both of them, as those pics are of the ones he is selling.  :D

(Craziest part is the price even a loose inflatable saber can fetch, over $100!)

I don't see any for sale now, but depending on the box's state, I've see them for $250-400 (but to be fair I'm not sure if they sold at that price).
