I have the true eye of a sith. I see only flaw... not perfection...

Lol, too dramatic there. Anyways yeah, I watched this many times and figured out that he always has it facing upward when turning it off and shifts it forward or tilts it down when he is turning it on.

There is a video section on the wickedlasers website although do NOT be fooled on the video of the (real) lightsaber, the person is using a large steel ball (possibly a bearing ball) that he tilts downwards as he turns the laser on to appear like it has a power up effect and to turn it off he moves the saber just slightly to knock the ball back down the tube, it's a subtle movement but it's there.

Wow, I have to admit I was fooled, although I did wonder how the heck he managed to do it. It just goes to show how simple solutions can fool the eye.

I'm almost definate it doesn't. They sold the green version of the saber a while ago on ebay for 120 bucks and I'm almost certain that they said that their is no sound module(sp).

Meh, It's still a pretty cool techknowledgy(sp) that may have a future in store for it. For instance, what if in the future we could put an electromagnet in the hilt of that saber and cause the bearing to move up and down for the desired effects? Just a thought.

They have a dedicated site now with their own forum.
www.lasersaber.com
There's a dueling vid right on the opening page.   Also a message (from August) that a sound system is in the works.

They say the ladderup and down is done with a magnetic attachment but that just doesn't look right.
Any strike hard enough to dislodge the magnet is going to dislodge it while dueling.
I wonder if they've replaced the magnet with a vacuum system.
The laser pointer installation looks like a pretty tightly sealed system and the hilt shows two buttons -- one might be an air bleed.
Open the bleed and the slider is free to travel.  Close it and air pressure keeps it stationary.

That's how it looks to me anyway.
