How to SAFELY remove the on/off little oval switch on a Graflex IV

Hi. I would like to know how to remove the little oval on/off switch safely on a graflex IV? Do I just pry it off or do I have to do something special? Its the little oval one next to the red deflect/lockup red button.  Im asking because I was thinking of putting clash flash on. Thanks in advance!
