my revamped Starkiller MHS saber.
« on: October 13, 2011, 06:43:07 AM »
this is the old pics, in these the main LED is a P4 red.

The new ones, this is powered by a rebel deep red, PC with Madcows Korriban Font.

The new revamped one has a more accurate switch box, and cleaner switches, not so tall control box.

nice, but im interested in your choice of a rebel red over a p4 ?,, is the optic solution different  ? and your thoughts on the two leds?...got to ask where did you buy or make that hilt? it certainly looks the part. :)

I like the deep red rebel because it just screams evil. After using the p4(which is a great led) it looks more pink compared to the rebel deep red. The saber is all MHS except the bunny ears, and switch box. I made it myself. I tool alot of research and planning lol but the end result came out great I think.

Awesome job, it looks super mean next to that coffee maker.  ;)

Just teasin man.  I'd love to build one like that myself. (Got a parts list? *wink wink nudge nudge*)

Wait, are we talking about the saber still? Or the coffee maker? Cause I could use one of those too. Lol.

I'll drop you a PM in a few.

At what mA are you overdriving the LED at  Xan? PR said that they will actually dimmed after a while if driven more than 700mA
