Some time ago I inquired about how to make a curved saber, and after a few trys I figured out the best way to do it. I had to do some lathe work and some custom shaping before I heated it and then finalized some of the details. I got this idea from searching around and seeing the "StarKiller" saber. I loved the large open crystal chamber part about it but didnt want to replicate it as so many others have done. So i put the open chamber on the top of the saber, then curved it. I wanted to make it also look Armored so it has a few un needed layers to it giving it that look.
The color scheme I chose was a black chrome, silver like and a candy purple for the mid section stripes. Once put together (loosely) I used a black satin and powder coated the underbelly of it making it look as if it was held over an open flame chairing the surface. I still need to install the PRIZM soundboard and re tap the screw holes (powder coating sort of gunks up the previous threads) then it will be done. I will post the finalized pictures in the next week or so, but for now here are 4 pics showing how it looks.

I may scuff it up a little to give it a bit more of a beaten look but im not fully sure if it needs more.

I really like the look of this saber, and I think that open top chamber is going to look awesome with crystal(s) + internals! Great work on the "curving", and I'm really digging the color selections!

Love the colours, and the curve and crystal chamber will look awesome when lit up, methinks.
Really nice build. :D
-
Great looking saber! Very unique. Can't wait to see it lit up.
-
I can dig it.

Really great job on curving this saber, it is very hard to bend pipe correctly and have it come out and this is the best I've seen so far by using that method. the overall design is pretty slick too.

A beautiful curved hilt! For some reason, that gray and purplish color scheme makes me think of "THANOS" from the Marvel Universe (Guardians of the Galaxy). Very cool looking.

Aww Boo. the TCSS is all closed up for a few weeks and so that means im also out of my R,G, RB primary LEDs. (thought i had 1 more around but cant find it) So i guess ill just have to wire up the rest as much as i can without it and add it last. But ill keep you all informed. Also if you want i can tell you how i did the near perfect bend without it collapsing bit i can do a topic on that here somewhere.
