Alright, I just recieved these babies in the mail this morning, so I thought I'd post about them since I have never seen anyone else use these.  I was looking on the rebelscum forum for ideas on how to light up my mini saber display.  I found some led's by ikea but the shipping was quite expensive.  So, I decided to check the old ebay.  I saw an auction for an LED light called Dot-It.  Unfortunately shipping was from a different country, so to the next best thing I went.  On google I found a seller on Amazon selling these lights for around $6.30 each.  Plus with an order of over $25 I got free shipping from Amazon.  Here are some pics for those who are interested.

This is the package that the LED comes in:

The light is actually small enough to fit right in your palm.  The lights turn on by pressing the the clear front down, much like the interior lights in cars.

This was probably the coolest part.  The back of this LED has an adhesive made by 3M, just peel and stick the thing wherever you want.

And here is the results of about 4 minutes of work.  I love how there are no ugly wires to mess with.

All this came to a grand total of $37.74 (I had purchased two more but I'm trying them under some cabinets in the kitchen)  This is definitely a great way to light up a display and extremely easy to do.  If anyone wants to purcahse these just dial up Dot-It on Amazon.

EDIT:  I forgot the mention the light also comes in other colors than black.  It also comes in silver, red, purple, lime green, and orange.  I've also seen some outside of the states that come in a yellow color.

Very cool,  any idea how long the batteries will last on them.  Also, what kind of batteries do they take?

Most excellent!  I've been looking for a nice battery powered light.  Thanks!

BTW where did you get the cabinet?  (Too lazy to check back through the topic)

To answer your question JSS, the lights should last 100 hours on a fresh set of batteries.  When the light dies out simply unscrew the back and replace the batteries with 3 AAA batteries.

To answer your question Sycor, I never did mention where I got my cabinet from in the topic.  I purchased it from Wickes Furniture when I was refurnishing my room.  I got two of the cabinets with a matching desk.  I got these like two years ago though.

That cabinet with the lights in it looks great, lazbum. I really like your set-up. Those lights seem really cool, and at that price they're way affordable. I think I'm going to have to get me a couple. :)

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that these lights also come in other colors than black.  They also come in silver, red, orange, purple, and lime green.  I'll also add this info to the mini review I posted above.
