I see the white plastic piece holding the clash senser. I see the pin too. However, I don't see an easy way of getting it out of the blade without destroying something. ugh!

Hammer the pin through the blade housing using a nail set/punch....there's no other way to get it out...unless you have a drill press, then you can drill it out.  Here,  read this over,  maybe it'll help you out:

ok, i see they have everything in place with glue gun glue. hmmm they used a piece of metel tubing for an led houseing. oh well, guess I will do it this way. This has been really helpful. When I get all the parts together, it should be a rather easy install after I was able to see how exactly it worked. I will post my converted saber after it is finished. I don't think I will go into a long conversion process cause this one is great! I will just show it off. I see TCSS has conversion kits for the other sabers. I will probably try those out in the near future. I just want to get this down and understood before I go taking apart any other sabers.

Well,  my opinion is that this is one of the easiest to take apart and convert.  And yes,  ultrasabers uses an aluminum replacement for the white part I showed you earlier.  It makes it much easier, to do,  but also requires you to cut off the blade socket to use it.  I don't think they offer those kits any longer,  anyway.

what tube,  this:

Cut it off the end of the blade if you have to.  I happened to have a bunch of left over pieces of blade stock so that's what I cut it from.  It is about 11/16" long.

That metal tube in the tutorial from Ultrasabers was a machined aluminum part, made to exactly replace the plastic piece that comes in the saber.  It has a milled slot down the side of it to fit in the blade socket like the original plastic part does.  you'd have a hard time replicating that on a piece of metal tubing.  Just use the plastic piece,  it will work just fine.

I'm having a problem. I got that pin down in the blade, but the insides aren't coming out!

I had a problem with that on a couple of them,  and it was the pin not being down inside the blade far enough.

the pin is all the way in and it still isn't budging. I can twist it a bit but that is about it. I even pownded on it some more and it is still the same.

ok got it out. btw, that white piece that you use to house everything is totally different than what I have. mine is solid plastic and the one you used looked like it was rubbery.

My part wasn't rubbery at all...it is solid plastic....and it came from an Anakin ROTS,  not a Luke ANH,  so it may look a  bit different.  The assembly process for the ANH Luke is the same though,  for the led/heatsink/lens assembly.
