Congrats man.  Yes the graflex is the top of the game.  I don't think we have a King of Parts Graflex review.  I would be interested to hear what your thoughts are on the over all appearance, craftsmanship etc.  I would assume the parts will fit the graflex shop parts but that would also be nice to know.  As I recall Kof P's hilts are a very very good deal $$$ wise, compared to a Parks with blast tech conversion kit.  I might build one for a buddy and I would love to know how his stack up against a Parks.

This def deserves a US 2.0 or a CF board.  ;)

Hey guys, while we're talking different sabers there is a guy on ebay( jimfred ) who sells ALOT!!
of replica Graflex 3 cells. Just do a search and he usually has 2 per week for a very
good price. So has anyone bought a "jimfred" Graflex and are they as good as parks?

Note : they have no grips or blade sockets you can actually use these as flashes for cameras.

I bought mine from him about a month ago and it is FANTASTIC! It's a replica, and it's beautiful. I'm waiting for my soundboard to go full bore on construction, but I highly recommend jimfred.

Thanks Anceem,  I just received mine in the mail ;D and I love it!!
but one question. Did your rabbit ears on the emitter seem VERY loose. and if they were
how did you tighten them up? I thought there was a thread at one time but I can't find it.

*See,  there's this thing called a "modify" button,  that let's you edit the content of your post...... ;) -QGJ

The rabbit ears should move freely side to side.  Once you have a blade in there everything should be nice and tight.  Unless you are talkign up and down travel at the hinge point in which case you could get a few small thin washers as shims but I doubt you would need that.

I have yet to join the Graflex club, but I keep checking here and there for one. They are all great, from the simple to the Yoda graflex, it's just hard to take your eyes off of a Graflex!

Yes Luke, Its the side to side movement that's bothering me >:(
I have a vintage ;D and even though they move they are still kinda tight.
But on my replica every time I pick it up "Ting, Ting Ting" that sound drives me crazy
just when I want to hold it

Just wanted to see what the glow button did, please disregard

Yeah once you have a blade in it will be locked in place.  I have to say though my vintage does not slide back and forth like that.  I actually have to push it back and forth as I recall.  I don't usually have the blade off though so I could be mistaken. I'll let you know next week when I get home.  ;)

Of course mine has the retro fit for the electronics.  My pin has been tapped out and a screw is now in its place.  This would allow you to tighten it enough to keep it from moving freely I would think.

What kind of board do you have in there now.  Don't put too much voltage to it if you're using an MR board.  Unless you want the magic smoke.

Boards that will work with those batteries are US 1.0-2.1 series, CF from Plecter labs, I believe the TCSS driver but check to make sure.  Not sure about Mako's board but I doubt he would have it set that low.

its running with just a resistor that came with the led.

i think the thing that was making it shut off fun was my batteries lol they were almost dead dropped in a fresh pair and it is running good.
i'm leaning toword the CF board

I Keiran!!
Looks a good work you ANH!! ;)
I believe that the best option is a FC, they regulate the current and the voltage, the FC whit a pack of rechargeable batteries is a good recommendation, in TCSS sells ones to use with the FC!!..
the problem ...there is no FC stocks until the summer!! :-\

Um, what resistor? Because you need different resistors for different voltages... So that will easily fry your board if it isn't the right one.

Thought that could also be the case.  Forgot to mention it.

Be careful of the resistor vs voltage of the batteries.  You could blow your LED.  Check on the TCSS site for the chart that tells you which one to get and how much Voltage it can take.

the resistor is a 5w 1 omh yageo 613 thats was the Graflex Shop sent with the led

Yeah, that LED is being over-powered. You need a 3.9ohm 5W resistor for the 2 3.6V li-ions. So you may need to pick one of those up...
http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/39ohm-5w-resistor-P17.aspx
There you go. You may need to order a new Lux 3 cyan while you are at it, if you fried your LED...

i will have to pick one up. my led is still working fine.

what buckpuck would it need a 1000mA or a 700mA?

Hi Keiran,
I sent to you a mail to yahoo, is a file pdf with all the information of luxeon in his different colors!! I do not know like attach this file to the forum, if you know please raise it.
also I attached a calculator of resistors, with this one and the specifications of the luxeon you can extract everything what you need!!
