when spinning and engaged in heated practice, my hand is all over the thing!

And when using both hands to duel, it's hard NOT to hit the switch!

sure.  This is the correct way to hold the obi-wan IMO.  I never have any on/off probs.

For a righty using both hands, Place your hand on the saber as showed in Picture 1.  Then slide all the way down so your thumb is just above the on/off box.  Then place your right hand above your left, and slide up a bit so your thumb is on the "copper" part of the saber.

For a lefty using both hands, place your hand on the saber as showed in picture 2.  Then slide all the way down so your thumb is just above the on/off box.  Place your Left hand above your right, and slide up so your left thumb is on the "copper" part of the saber.

did this help? :D

It really depends on what you like, and what your going to do with it.

The best spinning sabers are the Luke ROTJ and the Obi-Wan.
It depends if you like Green or Blue, but i think the Obi-Wan hilt smacks the poop out of the Luke ;D

My personal favorite FX is the Anakin.  It is a Beautiful hilt (my favorite) It has a blue blade (which i like) and it is not that bad for dueling.  Not the best, but its alright.

If you want a singe sith blade, Then you have got to go with the Vader.  The sounds are menacing.  If you have the money, Go with the Double maul.

Its all based on oppinion my friend. ;)

Maybe it only happens after a lot of use, but the switch on my Obi is REALLY sensitive, meaing it slides up and down VERY easily, with the lightest touch.  When spinning, it's very easy to brush the switch and have the saber accidentally turn off.

Can anyone think of a way to give that slide switch more resistance?

I think I mentioned this here somewhere before. I have found that the bottom of the switch, there is a hollow. Though I have not tested it out, I believe that there could be something placed in there to keep the switch from turning off. If anyone thas attempted this, let us know. :)

In that case..

PM Sycor.  He gives members here great deals on sabers, and ships fast.  He has all positive feedback on the site.
