Sithplanet Website?
« on: July 10, 2012, 12:17:20 PM »
Hey guys! I recently messaged Jeff Parks on eBay concerning just purchasing one of the Kenobi sabers he has packaged up there, and all he sent me back was this:

http://www.sithplanet.com/index.php

Is this website still operational? Or is this old news/defunct? I sent an email to who I believe is "Korbanth" at the triomirett@gmail.com address, and am pending a response. Just wanted to know what was up.

Hi MV,

If you look in the Lightsabers forum of The Trade Federation, there is a sticky subject about Korbanth's 2010 hollow run.  In the last bunch of pages, it details his difficulties obtaining the hilts for people.  I don't think Korbanth is doing anything right now but trying to fill his existing orders from 2010.  Jeff answers his ebay messages abruptly.  I asked him back during his first run of the Kenobi sabers whether they were empty or had electronics in them.  He sent back:

"I don't know the specifications of electronics."

...yeah.  It has since become abundantly clear they are empties, so I'm not sure why he sent the response that way.

Ah, I see. So is my best bet still seeing if anyone wants to sell me one of theirs on the TF then?

yeah that's what i would do. i would also worry about fitting electronics in it - those hilts are notoriously cramped. (i have firsthand experience with that, having done PC installs in 3 Ahsokas... others can vouch as well...)

Okay. Well I have been talking to Randy (AKA Korbanth) and he says he has 20 hilts of the one I'm looking at (OWK1), 16 of which are already spoken for, and they are been shipped to him tomorrow, and his shipping estimate to me is by next Monday, when he expects to have them in hand from his supplier. Does this sound about right to you guys? And as far as having electronics installed in them, I'm fine with them being empties for now.

Keep in mind the version korbanth has offered up to this point is not the same as the one on ebay.  I would double checl that it is an empty of the pharton ii model.  Not the regular phaeton.

Right. I would be fine with either model. The older one is tinier, which is cool, and the new one has the threaded pommel, etc. so I think I'd be cool having either.

Hey guys, actually, my board name here is korbanth, but on ebay it triomiret

I am only 10 sabers away from being able to say that everyone from hollow run 2 has now gotten their saber, so I hope within the next 4 weeks it finally done.

I did pick up more sabers, newer version of the OWK and QG sabers that are made better, and still have the .725 inch hollow tube, and many people have successfully put in sound and lux...so it can be done..

So I still have in hand right now..as of Feb 2013 - some left over empty hollow sabers - EP1 obi, EP1 QG, and EP3 Mace - so best way to ever contact me is not to send me a PM here because sometimes I only log on 1x month, but send me and email at korbanth47@gmail.com

thanks
Randy
