Identifying Replicas/original Graflex
« on: February 13, 2018, 12:24:27 PM »
Is there a combined thread/resource to help folks determine if a Graflex is a replica or an original?

It used to be easy.

Now there are so many replicas and quite a few are really well done, how can we know the real ones from the fake ones?

For instance, I know the newer generation Romans Graflex and the letters RE in the trademark line. Are there other tells out there for the various styles of Graflex?

I am planning on doing an extensive post, comparing various replicas and vintage.
But, currently waiting on TGS 2nd run and Maker Prop Studio replicas.
if i get these on time, my goal is to do comparisons between Vintage, Roman Gen1, Roman Gen2, TGS 1st, TGS 2nd, and Maker Prop Studios.
(Omitting Korbanth or 89 because they are not very accurate.)
