Hmm I think the other differance from the jedi medallion would be that the sith medallion would be gold. Gold always seem to be the opposite of silver and gold to me always brings up the thought of greed. Also I Suspect the lettering for the medallions to differ and the sith medallions lettering will be more jagged, coarse and prominent similar to letters that have been carved long ago.

So from what I can tell about the Jedi coin in the pics, the lettering appears to be sunken. Perhaps the Sith coin will have raised lettering, to better show the aggressive nature behind the emotions in the Sith Code.

EDIT: Although after rereading the clue, John says the "symbols" are different, indicating that should be the focus. Could the Sith symbol be colored in some way? I could see the Jedi leaving their coin all silver, while a Sith would "bling" theirs out.

"The FORCE shall set me FREE" is set in stone (well metal anyway).

Sorry all, this won't change.

no problem, john! both versions are correct (there's also a version without the last sentence among others). this can also be seen as artistic freedom or as a medaillon of a specific time, where this version of the code has been taught and lived by the sith...

PS:  I'll send a SITH Medallion free to the FX-Sabers member who is first to answer this for me....

The Jedi Symbol and the SITH Symbol are different in two ways, one way is that the Jedi Symbol is raised, and the SITH Symbol is sunken.  What do you suspect is the other difference? And why? (the question will be much easier when I post a pic of the design prototype...).  Only 2 guesses per member please - you may post your guesses here.

first, i say it's surrounded by sith runes.

second, i'd say the symbol is gold, but this one has already been mentioned. so i say the sith logo is a secret play button for a mp3-player that tells the sith code...  ::)

OMG, it works!

My first guess is that the sith symbol will look almost carved or chiseled. The jedi logo is stamped on the jedi medallions and maybe the sith wouldn't use that sort of method to make there medallions.

Am I on the right track at least? :)

Good guess - but no...

The Jedi Symbol has something that the SITH Symbol does not.

In honor off the 4th of July, I'll post a pic tomorrow...

My guess is the shape of the medallion is different. Maybe a triangle or something like that.

my second guess is no beautiful up sweeping side wings. That its changed there to something darker less up lifting.

My first guess would be that there is no engraved circle boarder around the sith medallion to symbolize no boundaries to their power.

My second guess would be that there is no finish to it, rendering it raw and exposed.

Can't wait! :)

Can I guess that the lack of the circle boarder symbolizes a lack of unity among the sith?

DarthLwin,

Congratulations - you got it.

Here is a pic of the design proof for the SITH Medallion:

Here is the pic of the desing proof for the Jedi Medallion:

The Jedi Symbol has a circle or ring around the main symbol - both to symbolize the unity of the Jedi, and that they use the force for knowledge and defense.  The SITH do not have this unity - they use the force for themselves and aggression.

PM me your address and I will be sending you a SITH Medallion at no cost when then come out.

Well done!

Hello all:

Here is a pic of the design proof for the SITH Medallion.

Happy 4th of July and enjoy!

- The Sith Code is on the back
- The Sith Quad Sun Symbol is sunken on the front
- The Sith Symbol is surrounded by the Sith Code written in Sith Prophecy font.

- The Medallion is 1/4" thick, and plated in an antique gold finish
- Edge engravings and individually numbered

More details to follow as well as full pics as soon as the Medallions come in.

Thank you All!

Respectfully,
Sanjuro
