This is a design I have been working on for a year. It's my take on Jaina Solo's lightsaber. I know it does not look like the saber in many images, comics, and artwork. But I really wanted to design her saber from scratch. Kind of a Jaina V2 if you will. I'm also aware that the good people at Vader's Vault will be bringing life to a more traditional Jaina saber design in the near future.

this one is MINE - and not for sale!
I plan to weather it in the near future to complete the vision.

It's also the first crack I've had at the Crystal Focus 6 with Colour Mixing... one word - awesome! I will post another video soon at how much fun I'm having using the R.I.C.E. interface to fine tune the blade colour and flicker etc. (BTW - Canadians spell it; COLOUR)

As always, your designs resonate with me :D. I love the subtle details that make Genesis sabers so special. The gold greeblie, and that divided ring area on the grips are just really nice little details :).

actually madcow i linked it yesterday to a fairly well known cosplayer that has 3 different jaina costumes (stealth x, regular rebel pilot, and and jedi robes) and she pretty much fainted

In person it's a stunning colour. I plan to get a slightly different shade of violet for the weathered pics - R.I.C.E. ROCKS.

Yeah, well we had this little spat in the 1770's with England, and since we won, the letter "u" received it's independence too (it was a secret ally of ours ;) ). It was a fringe benefit along with getting July 4th off from work. :D :D :D

Love the activation switch but my favorite detail is the gold ring on the emmiter with the black accent rings next to them . That really gives it a more ...... fancy/ almost royalty type of feel ! "Ornimental" Elegant ! Really great stuff !

I cannot wait to hear the soundfont too !!! :) Love your fonts !

The colours you have created with RICE look awesome. Colour mixing really is super cool 8)

As always, looks convincingly functional/real as a lightsaber with a great design aesthetic. Also the tubing on the chassis rods. And the amount of wires! - very tidy, scary spaghetti potential otherwise ;)

The choice to go with an RGBA was because I was familiar with how it blends. The experiments with an RGB Tri-Rebel were not getting what I wanted, I will try a Tri-Cree next.

Jaina is a warrior and while her weapon of choice would be extremely well maintained funtionally, I doubt she'd obsess about a little grime. She was also a fighter pilot after all, Lol!

The Activation button cap is made from a piece of brass rod. and the Aux, button cap is a machined 6-32 aluminum standoff.

Don't know.
I'm still working out some plans for 2013. If I have time I might consider a version with scaled down innards.

I'm hoping to have a few PC or CS versions of this saber available before the end of the year. But I don't expect to do any of the full CF version with CEx and chassis.

Hey Buddy,Your asking a lot of questions that a person in the saber business might respectfully not want to to answer in an open forum.

Not everyone here is just a hobbyist, some ppl offer their services and products to support their family, so some information is better held close to the chest as this is a close knit competitive market.
