Have some optimism man.  How did you go about doing it?

I taped everything off as best I could with scotch tape because I couldn't find any masting tape, which might cause a problem. Then I used a mat black primer to paint the exposed parts. If it doesn't work clean it up with some nailpolish remover and I'll pick up some real masking take a try again

if you have some rubber cement and a steady hand that will work then you can just scratch it off with you finger nails just make sure you do not get any were you want to be painted

Good idea DK.  Yeah that sctoch tape may be a problem :P  If it does mess up, the nailpolish remover should work.  My advise is to use what you should on projects like this and don't take shortcuts.  I've done this type of stuff often and being hasty usually makes you have regrets.  Especially painting.  Looking forward to seeing your finished product :)

I didn't know it came apart till I was taking the tape off. Had I known that I could have cleaned up the paint near the emitter a little better. But it is nothing you see unless you are inspecting it up close.

This is my original concept. I've also made new art for a mini box that I plan to print out on high gloss photo paper and glue to the box.

As you can see from this picture you can tell where the tape coverd too much of the hilt near the emiter. But that is easily fixed now that I know you can take it apart

Thanks for the kind words guys
