Title: Sound font plays boot sounds but does not power on my CFX

Hello,
Looking for an answer to the following:
Just downloaded a mass effect sound font for plector on my CFX board. Copy and pasted both font_config text file and leds text file from existing fonts on the board to the new sound file which has worked. As a result, all that plays is the font boot sounds but blade fails to power on the font and in order to cycle to another font I have to remove the battery and place in back in and hold down the auxiliary button to get out of the sound font.  Any resolution to this? Thank you

Good news is that it is clearly font related rather than board or master config (assuming you are implying that after you get to another font all is well.)

A few standard things to ask/check. Where did you get the new font (ie if from saberfont, kyberohonics or other proven source, and optimized for CFX, I would expect it to work fine.

Next, check to make sure that every expected and required sound file is in your new directory. Use the manual and also check against fonts from the default, or others that work.

Last, check the sound files are in the correct format (also in the manual.)

Excellent. Will try that out, thank you, and the sound font source I got it from was lux sabers from Etsy. It's the mass effect reaper sound font. Will update on working status

I also note that it's the issue with fonts that aren't verified for the different hw platforms (like saberfont does)

Also log your board with debug enabled it will most likely tell you what's wrong

Ok great, thank you erv for the added feedback as well. Looks like the files are in their proper format. But how do I go about utilizing the debugging method with the log?

So now very strange twist,
Appears my kyberphonic unstable sound font is doing the same thing as the mass effect sound font, plays boot up sounds but fails to power on. Wonder what I'm missing here. And may need some assistance with a walk through of the debugging process even though I have the CFX manual, still tough to properly understand.

Ok,. Now I have a bigger issue. For some reason my CFX board has a solid red led. It won't power on or cycle through any fonts. Completely unresponsive. Tried connecting it to computer and computer does not recognize it anymore.  What does this now mean?  Thank you for your inputs along the way. Greatest appreciation

Debug is extensively laid out in the manual...debug setting to 1...also highly recommend Dow loading the RICE utility from the plecter site...connect via serial so you can monitor the log in real time.

And probably wrong font naming / numbering.
Logs would tell.
