Title: Just purchased a MR Snowspeeder SS!!!

My first Studio Scale model!!! And its of my second favorite ship in the Star Wars Saga, so I'm cool wit it!
 

I will be posting lots of pics and a review, as usual, when I receive it.

The seller said he would try to ship it as soon as tomorrow.  If not tomorrow, then definitely Monday.

When it comes to collecting...I just know how to set money aside for things I want.  I don't have (nor want) a girlfriend, so Im able to save A LOT of money, hahahah

Yeah, girls just go down in value as they go older,  :D collectables go up.

I told my wife that and for some reason I am now sleeping on the couch

heh thats funny. very wise in the saving money aspect but as far as saying that to the wife, not as wise.

Its hard to find a girl who doesn't think star wars collecting is a waste of time though and think your a total geek.

Congrats on the snowspeeder Anakin!  Quite a good deal too.   I'll look forward to those pics.  Now you'll just need to find a similar deal on the Falcon.  (And if you do, let me know, at 50% off even I'd take the leap to the giant SS club! :D )

And I believe that the Falcon will be found on the secondary market for very low prices as people get them and then move on to other things as what happens with these for most people.  It won't be anytime soon, but I bet will will be seeing the falcon for $900+ (LE not SE)
Just think when they release the ANH version with working loading ramp or the ROTJ version  with the topside dish missing from Lando's faulty flying people are going to be clamboring to drop there TESB versions hahah

You bring up a great point Anakin, and now I'm going to have to hold out for the ESB EE with a mini-Lando which pops out from the top hatch.

My SS Snowspeeder came in today and...




WOW!  This replica is B - E - A - Utiful!!! 

I've taken some pics of the unpacking process but, I'm going to wait until I have more time to take detail pics and do my review.

One bad thing...the clear acrylic top got damaged during shipping, but I sent Amy an email and she is taking care of me.

I'll look forward to the proper Anakin-review-treatment.  Glad to hear Amy is already on the case, but it seems like that is a common theme with Speeder (must be why they've abandoned cases for the falcon, and not at all the impossible size :D ).
