A heavy heart.
« on: September 10, 2016, 04:14:25 PM »

I'm writing this with a heavy heart. I have a daughter who just turned 40 last year. She's my only daughter and we are close. I don't say a lot of my life ;but, cancer hit my daughter. She has not been able to work ;due, to an operation she had a few weeks ago. She was told she has stage 3 cancer . She will have to undergo treatments such as chemo and radiation for 5 weeks. My wife and I are retired and only have an income monthly. My daughter has insurance ;but, it will not pay about 50% of the treatments. I set up a go fund me account so I can use it to pay her medical bills since I can only do so much. That's what a father is suppose to do. Now I don't expect anything from anybody ;but, I have to try. Anything will beat nothing. Here's a link just in case anyone finds in their heart to give. Thanks to everyone that reads this. David :grIn

Maybe recommend that you consider coming  to Europe?

It's so much  cheaper here for treatment even privately, that you will spend less even with the transport and accommodation costs.

Seriously, look into it. You'll be surprised by how welcome you are to use the services in the UK while on a visa and Spain is super cheap.

Meanwhile, I can't really donate financially.

However, I do own a JQ Sabers calburn.
I will put it up for auction and the the final price is yours.

Just to say I have not reneged on my initial offer.

My new saber will arrive in the next few days and then I'll sell my calburn.

I will need to ask admin here for permission to run an auction for it, but if not forthcoming then i may be able to do so on Facebook.

If nether is an option then you can choose between me simply selling it or sending it to you for auction.

That's rough Ben. I had a semi-close friend who had stage 4 cancer. The last time I'd heard from her she'd gone into remission and was taking internet remedies along with a second treatment of chemo. We don't know what helped but personally I'm not sure I trust the government with cancer issues. It works for many, and in the US it probably costs insane amounts. Not to mention the side effects. I recently learned that my friend had passed away in the summer. She's had a rough life but always held strong to her faith. I've learnt that faith helps to no end, especially in the darkest of days. Although I wouldn't pray very often, she'd remind me how important faith is. She was a practicing Muslim and believed that God was the only one she felt she truly had, and now she's with Him.

A pert of me still hasn't fully accepted it and blame myself for not keeping in touch. I probably couldn't have changed anything but I did a heck of a lot of reading and had seriously considered footing the bill for a Rick Simpson treatment using THC. She'd was already in her second round of chemo and I didn't want there to be a third. It's nothing anybody should have to go to and while some people claim that any other remedies are snake oil, I'd try anything I could if it meant helping a friend.

I hope it's just temporary and that your daughter gets better soon. I definitely think you should consider treatments away from the US as mentioned above, and even try other alternatives if possible. I'll donate something soon. If you don't mind I'll try to share this on facebook too.
All the best

Thanks my friend and yes I also have faith in the Lord. I have seen things that should have been impossible happen though prayer.

My prayers are with you and your family...I donated what I could for now but I wish to extend an invitation to anyone else to donate as well. a little multiplied by a lot goes along way...I hope you reach your goal but more importantly, I hope that your daughter will get better.
