Hello there! The cone came with a threaded insert in the bottom. I drilled and taped a hole in the hilt to match. I then JB Welded the threaded rod into the cone. It now just screws into the hilt. Are you planning on doing a V2?

I'll be using my cone knob as a recharge port Kill key on my V2 that I am building with a CF V2.61 and Lux V Green.

Darth, have you ordered your knobs yet? I have not gotten around to it yet. Too many other projects on the plate right now.

I just emailed Kenny about 20 minutes ago to confirm an order (3rd email, I don't think he got the others). I ordered 4 of them.

That's good that the cone knobs are shipped Tyrannus, one less part to wait for.

Looks great! What kind of paint did you use for the black?

Thanks for the compliment. I used regular Testors Flat Black spray paint for models. You can find it at any hobby shop or store like Walmart.

Is there different sized graflex clamps or something cuase I looked at my brothers graflex clamp that he got from somewhere and It dosent look like it will fit on the luke hilt.

I thought people had to use the MRFX clamp thingy to make a v2?

You need a clamp from a MR Luke ESB saber.

Thanks Boxster. I wasn't the first to build a V2 and wont be the last. Darth Tyranus is building one as we speak that will trump mine pretty good. Make sure you check out his thread as well.

Yeah, having seen his! Man, the colour combo's really nice! Kinda reminded me of a Stingray in full black and chrome trimmings/bumpers. There seems like a mystery that surrounds the hilts that both of you are building. This is one exciting project and I am going to look closely into it!!!
