I received the Mega Collectible Qui-Gon and Obi-wan today, along with the Hallmark X-wing Christmas ornament and the Gold .45 Obi-wan ROTS. Everything is beautiful and I will greatly cherish all the items, including two cards from the Fraternal Order of Police. I cannot wait to add the X-wing to my Star Wars Christmas decorations next year.
I am debating as to whether I should take Qui-Gon and Obi-wan out of the boxes. I hate to display things in the box, because you cannot admire them in quite the same way, especially since their lightsabers actually light up. But I don't want to detract from the value of the figures either. In the end, I'll probably take them out and display them, because I have always collected for the enjoyment, not the value.
One thing I asked Chowser, and maybe someone else knows the answer too. The Mega-Collectible Darth Maul looks as if it is made to go with both of these in a "cinematic scene" of the Duel of the Fates. Does anyone know if the bases of all three are meant to interlock to form such a display? I was thinking of purchasing the Maul because of this.
Thanks again Chowser for everything. I hope all is well in the end after the dust settles from the insurance companies, and I was truly honored and proud to assist in the small way I was able.
Thank you!
