2010 Lucasfilm Hasbro c2945a 32720 with 4 external wires?

So, I just acquired 3 Darth Vader 2010 hasbro light sabers at an auction.  They look to be in mint condition.  No box. 
The end of the hilt says C2945a and 32720.  There are 4 wires that come out of the side of the battery cover in a wrapper - looking brand new.  Looks to be factory made. 
I took it apart and discovered that the battery section is not wired to the main board.  The battery compartment comes out clean with no wires attached at all.  The 4 wires go directly to the main board.

So, can anyone tell me about these?  What are the wires for?  How can I power this up?  Is there a special add on for this?
Would appreciate any help.
