Battery life on older Parks Dark Avenger?
« on: January 09, 2012, 09:37:48 PM »
I bought a used older Parks Dark Avenger saber form Ebay a few weeks ago and I want to know if this sounds normal. The battery was all but dead when I got it the LEDs on the activation switch just barely lit up when turned on. Replaced the 9 volt and everything worked great. Not literally 2 weeks later the blade wont light and the activation LEDs are dimming quickly.

Is less than an 30 minutes up time the normal length of battery life? Or might I have a short or somewhere?

From what I understand, 9V batteries do not have long run times under high drain.  My guess is that is normal for that type of battery.

Do you leave the blade in when not in use?

Parks says that with the blade attached, the saber will gradually draw power from the batteries when not in use
