18V Parks?

I was wondering...

Does anyone know if an old Parks M2 which seems to have 2 Inverters in it anyhow... (one for the Blade and one for the Hilt Lighting) can handle an 18V supply without permanent damage?  I only keep it lit for about 5 mins max ever... (with a minute or two rest between power ons).

I ask because I gave it a quick try and it made SUCH a difference in brightness.  And there is JUST room for the two batteries. :)

Anyone know?  Or should I just bother Parks.  :)
