Re-building my first saber
« on: May 15, 2011, 10:39:15 PM »
After all the amazing work being done on realistic internals by Sloth and other smiths I decided to try and build one myself. I just hope when Im done it will look good and still be functional.

It looks like a spot-on Sloth piece. Excellent work! The only concern I have is that it looks a bit tight in the center. Are you going to have room for a crystal (or two) and lighting?

WOW!

I'd change that long double female to 2-incher for more accuracy.

Very nice!  I'm a big fan of the radiator fins a la Slothfurnace.  What are you using for the two main chassis rods?

I think so it will be very tight. The hardest part (I hope) will be finding a crystal that small.

Thats the plan. Im still just experementing with parts to see what fits, looks good and so on.

Im using 3 air line unions I found at work with 3 threaded rods running through them and the fins.

Everything is still in the experemental stages so any comments or sugestions are most welcome.
