Maybe its more that some of us "have strong feelings about this guy" who we DO respect in this community and hobby, someone who has been community minded and innovated in it hmmm?
Bit of a defensive response. But I agree, it is crappy to copy someone else's work without attribution.
Just out of curiosity, and to play devil's advocate, If the guy said "this is my rendition of GCS's version of Corran Horn's saber" would that have been OK?
Do any of the saber designers get permission or licensing from Lucasarts/Disney/the contracted author/whomever owns the IP and ask permission before creating a saber?
If the answer to either of these is "no", I'd argue that the responses are more do to a dislike of the copycat (probably deserved) than anything else.
And the BIN price is not in line with the quality.
