CF 7.5 power drain
« on: January 04, 2016, 04:25:46 PM »
Hi all! Finally got all features on the CF working, including RICE. Plugged saber in to charge while I left for the day ( about 6 hours ), came back and plugged into Rice to make a few changes and it died in about 15 mins.
I understand it's not gonna last hours and hours, but that seems pretty short.  I'm using an 18500 7.4v pack from TCSS.
Also I have wakeup set to 0, so it can't be bumped and awakened from sleep.
Any thought on this? Everything else seems to work great, fantastic piece of hardware!
Thanks

The idle current of a CF is a few mA, like 9 or 10. That will allow to have the saber in sleep mode for a complete day at least even with some blinkies flashing. You battery pack is possibly unbalanced.
