Very nice picts he sent you Bigdog...
A great find this was... :D
In touch with them we will be ;)
-
Thanks for the PM Meridian, I did get a look at some pics yesterday and placed my order this morning. Should have my weathered ANH Obi next week.
-
Sweeeeeeettttttt Ben
you'll need to send Bigdog good picts ;) for the Gallery
as will I for the Ep1&2 ;)
always
MERIDIAN
-
I will absolutely get some nice pics, but as for the Ep I&II, I may have been talked into that one too.
Now I need to buy some 9Vs to go with my horde of AAs.
-
I've got my Energizer e2 9volts ready for my Ep1 ;D
so you'll get one of those too... well I'll definately be making special
mounts for these that can be engraved to say what it it etc...
You'll see a prototype when I've got them ready ;)

I too have given into temptation and have ordered a Qui Gon to go with my Obi Wan. The stand idea sounds great Meridian, I'm not sure if its possible to do them like the MR cases with the mirrored bottom and the clear acrylic cover. I get the feeling those would be too expensive to manufacture though. Anything you can come up with would be great.
-
Must avoid further temptation of the gallery, need to save money for food...
But seriously, glad to see I'm not the only one so taken by these wonderful looking customs. Truly deserving of their own special FX-Sabers mounts.
-
I'll give you guys a clue it will most likely hold the Saber Hilt
on the stand infront like the MR, but Ill have the blades standing
vertical behind it ;)
It wont take up as much space as horizontal blades, and you may
be able to have multiple blades in the slots in the back...
I need to work on it once my Saber arrives but It will be well
Worth it...for those who get these types of sabers!
The Hilt will have the FX-SABERS Logo under it most likely...
we will see...
-
That sounds very nice, for some reason I was thinking of the Parksabers display, but I like the sound of yours better.
-
The Parks Displays are Nice but the horizontal holders take up to much room.
With what I plan to do you'd be storing them right behind the hilt so you could
get like 4 or 5 back there it depends on how it all comes together.
But the way Parks is engraved ours will be as well.
I'm planning on Having the FX-SABERS logo be horizontal in between
the support arms of the Stand in clear with the logo engraved and in full view.
It will most likely have a Black base with an option for wall mounting, or a felt
bottom for table top. either way it should be cool and no I have no Idea about price yet?
-
I checked out the custom EL gallery and I think it ROCKS! Whoever made those things sure is gifted! Can't say I don't envy him...
-
xxx, these pictures torture me. Especially the luke rotj, ob1's. May have to apply for a bank loan!
-
Stand idea sounds great Meridian whenever they are ready just drop me a line.
-
Hello there, Master Scottish
Iwill certainly PM you and benlurkin who bought both the Weathered AHN OBIwan
and the Ep1 like we got ;).
So what will be nice is you will see my saber "like yours" for the AD ;D
-
Speaking of, my two shipped today, should have them by early next week. It'll be a race with my Luke FX.
-
Just ordered the Sidious model from Sithplanet. Not a functional one, but just the hilt(my favorite hilt ever). May add EL later myself. Or LED if possible. Happy times ;D

Good for you DM, did you be sure and mention our site to him so he hooks you up with a good price ;)
-
Oh, cool. I ordered it on Ebay a yesterday. Couldn't pass it up when I saw it. I'd really like to convert it to a functioning saber. I don't guess FX internals would work, huh? The hilt is so small and the opening is sized for smaller blades right? What do you think Master Meridian? ???
-
Yes in it's current form it's to small for FX electronics (need to be slightly bigger for FX internals)
But EL should be fine... If it's from Sith planet you may want to ask
if He can get it converted for you? Tell Him you a member here at FX-SABERS
and he may hook you up...
If you want to do it your self go to www.thecustomsabershop.com
they have every thing you'll need there and the info to do it. ;)
Tell Him I sent you and He will know where you came from here at FX-SABERS ;)
Besure abd thoroughly read the tutorials on hilt assembly and inverter protection
for building properly ;)

-
Thanks a lot for your expertise MERIDIAN. Just mailed him about doing the conversion and have my fingers crossed. ;)
-
darthmaddy be sure to post pictures! as i also love the sidious HILT!
-
Here is another Sidious (hilt only) from sithplanet off of ebay:

-
It has never really done anything for me but i can see why it would appeal to others, Its up there with Mace's for uniqueness.
-
I was quite disapointed with the Sithplanet Sidious till I saw this pic on ebay:
(https://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi16.ebayimg.com%2F01%2Fi%2F05%2F2d%2F73%2F9c_3.JPG&hash=2f9a10b8ced0266c6d00d3d35402ea8b543f8278)
Nice paint job! (But still not LE quality.)
-
the sabers look great. I know this is a stupid question but how
do i purchase a saber from sith planet? he doesn't really have a store that I know of.
-
Sithplanet usually has an Ebay auction going on something. I guess Email them.
Hey MERIDIAN, Randy(that's what his email address says) told me he can't do the blade upgrade for me because the person that makes the sabers for him is unavailable for two months. Looks like I'm off to thecustomsabersshop.com as soon as I get the hilt. At least I'll be able to get everything exactly like I want.
-
Cool the gallery looks good.
-
i can't see the pictures it just has an empty box with an X
-
Not even here?
http://www.fx-sabers.com/sithplanet/index.html
-

wow those look really cool!
-
Those pics look really good.
-
Very nice hilts and blades. I am interested....
-
Wow,these look great!!
I'm new here,I've been lurking for a little while, and finally decided to jump onboard :)
Can anybody tell me how I can contact the person who makes these? I'd be very interested in the ROTJ Luke....:D
Jedi Luke
-
hilts with the blades and witout are awesome....they all look top notch. how much we talkin?
-
Jedi Luke (any relation to our former JediLuke?), you can visit the website at www.sithplanet.com, and at the bottom of the page after you enter, click on the contacts link, and it'll let you send him an email. Also, be sure to mention that you found out about him from the FX-Sabers.com forums. :) And welcome to the boards!
Darth Knucle, they're about $325 or so, plus shipping.
-
wow.....$325....thats kinda steep. BUT, they do look like there made from top quality material....and they look exacting to the movies. so i guess if your a true collection kinda guy the price is not a factor. but for me, i have a wife, lol, need i go any further..................
-
Darth Maul,
thanks for the welcome, but no,I'm in no way related to any other Jedi Luke,I just liked the name :)
I'll email the guy at Sithplanet, thanks for pointing me to the right direction!
Jedi Luke

I just tried it after going from the home page and reloading it and it worked fine now ;)
-
The link at the top of this thread was to the old version of the gallery, but its fixed now. ;)

Hi Qui-Gon Jinn,
I'm new here, but I was wondering if you or one of the other Masters could help me out.
I bought a new but defective MR FX ANAKIN EP2 (EL blade, 2002) for $30 (handle and blade are perfect, it does light up and sound too, though it sometimes fllickers out) with the idea of changing it to a a single Luxeon LED blade anyway, maybe boost the sound too... but...
I'm trying to figure out how to disassemble it without damaging it too much. I haven't been able to find anyone who has diassembled that model (Anakin 2002, EL blade). I've removed the lower handle, and black PVC coupler, plus a few screws and knobs, but I don't see how to remove the power switch assembly(aside from popping out the slider). The top chrome ring just moves slightly but seems to be held on the side of the switch. The blade with the battery pack can be moved sligthly (up-down, turned), but it wont just slide one way of the other, certainly because of the power switch... Any idea how to remove that switch without damaging it? There is a rivet looking stud on the bottom of the power switch, but it seems to be held really tight against the switch assembly. Is that the key part? any idea how to remove it?
I saw in your gallery how you've built a virtually identical lightsaber, so i thought you might know how or know someone who does.... before I try -sorry- do... something drastic. I'd like to keep it intact as much as possible ;-)
Thanks
May the Force be with me... ( It obiously is strong with you guys)

I like the Master Qui Gon, do these FX's have sound or does it just light up? ((Open Question))
-
I can't remember if this was asked, but does he sell these sabers or just display them? I am interested in a few of them.
-

The Sithplanet sabers do not have sound and only have lights (EL blade). So you'll have to make your own lightsaber sounds when you use it. ;)

He does indeed sell these sabers (at least some of them). Just visit his site at www.sithplanet.com, and click on the contact link at the bottom of the page after you enter.
-
Actually, he has quite a few sabers (as you can see) in his collection. He will, at times, sell pieces of his collection if offered the right price. You must contact him directly and see which ones, if any, he would be willing to sell.
Good luck!
P.S. I missed out on the Qui-Gon because I didn't have the cash at the time, and someone else (probably from here) snatched it up! :'(
Oh well, you snooze, you loose!
-
Those look pretty cool, but I like the MR FX ones the best.

Thanks DM. I will contact him this week via email.

I lucked out and got one of the last Obi-wan EP1 He had left a while ago.
(Pictures are in the Master Yoda's Custom Sabers Thread ;))
If He is willing to part with any of the ones you may be considering they
are beautifully made. :)
-
if you dont mind me asking, how much do these cost? what would one of these sithplanets go for?
-
awesome lightsabers.....they look exact. quick question....whats brighter...EL's or MR LED's????
-
MR LED's ;)
By quite a way too :)
-
if you dont mind me asking, how much do these cost? what would one of these sithplanets go for?
Sithplanets are $350 ;)
-
ok so if the MR LED's are brighter....and the EL's are more exopensive...how come they so sought after???? be advised im not trying to insult anyone w/ EL's....im just curious to it.
-
EL's usually have better build quality, more accurate size, and they can have thin necks ;)
-
So sith planet makes these? From what I read it said he didnt make them.
Sorry for the stupid question. Those are incredible sabers.
-
wow...its amazing how much nice the Luke ROTJ and the Obi ROTS look w/ the accurate necks. beautiful!!!! but alas...im still an MR guy
-
The ones I picked up from sithplanet were not made my him, but were customized versions of either Parksabers or Larbel ELs. And therein lies the price problem. Neither of them make these particular models anymore, and high demand coupled with no supply prices them right out of reasonable range to buy to do a lux upgrade, sadly. :-\
-
Its sad you cant really get these any more. Most of them a well out of my machining capabilities. I would love to get my hands a properly sized Mace. I contacted him about a year ago and he said he would have more avalible but I never followed up with him.
-
Yes it's to bad...
You should have seen when we first put this gallery up here, He had maybe a dozen Obiwans and a few Quigons left
and though many squirmed at the price...
They were all gone in a week or two :o
But let's face it... the MR hils have plenty of room for converting compared to these :D
-
Thats true, Those EL's dont have alot of room in them
-
How much did these SP sabers run?
-
The Majority of these Sabers started at $325 and up.
They were simple EL blades and none had sound...
Here are some that have been modified to Luxeon LED ;D

-
ooo pricey! For that much i can get one of your Graflex lol
Cool conversions tho i love that Obi-Wan TPM. Wouldnt mind having the weathered ANH either
-
There are three of those I feel that I must have, but I'll have to wait until I actually have money.
Qui-Gon, Obi Episode 1, and Quinlan Vos. I think it's fantastic that he actually made an expanded universe saber. There's this one place I saw that made an awesome Asajj Ventress set. I tried to get two curved hilts like Asajj's from Photoninnovations.com. Boy, was I not pleased with the craftsmanship. They were terrible.
