Battle Damage Maul Review!
Story:The Force guided me to the sith saber buying it and waiting for it to come in took forever but it was worth it once it came in i could feel the power of lord maul serging in me wanting to let it go and fight the great battle againts Qui-Gon-Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi couldnt wait to see this saber in action i was impatient.
Hilt: This hilt is beautiful knowing it was forged by the great Lord Sidious himself it is a work of art and if you get just the right grip it is amazing and feels good as you feel the dark side surge trough you XD
Blade: The blade is thick and sturdy good if you want to duel with a non modified FX saber
Color: The color is so red it reminds me of blood every time i light it up it amazes my eyes like i just got it very nice and beautiful
Over All: i rate this 8/10 its a great saber

Darth Sidious crafted this hilt? Are you sure?
Good review. What kind of batteries did youuse. They seem a little weak.
The pink actually looks better that that "rorange" colour.

you only gave it a 8/10, i was wondering what ya took points off for
-
i didnt take points off thats my rating for it
-
LOL-but why isn't it a 10? ::)
-
cause the knobs they hurt your hand if you hold it like normel i think there should only be one knob on the maul battle damage since the others dont so any thing there unessary but if it didnt have the knobs it wouldnt be movie acurate
-
Sid made that lightsaber....hmmm i wasn't aware of that. i thought the apprentice had to make his own lightsaber....
-
Interesting review...short and to the point. I thought Maul made his own saber and modeled it after Exar Kun's, I never knew Sidious made it.
-
I think those extra knobs can just screw off, it would make dueling with it more comfortable. And when you're done you could just put them back on. ;)
You can also add the coupler to the hilt to make it a little longer as well, BTW.
If I ever do get one, it will probably be the full-sized version and I'd have it converted so I could have just one blade in it w/ the full hilt like Darth Maul did against Qui-Gon on Tatoonie.

Same here Joclad, if I ever got a Maul i'd have mine converted so I could have the one blade full hilt option.

so where does the "battle-damaged" aspect of this saber come into play? None of the pictures (anywhere) seem to really show it. Nice review btw. And are you SURE Lord Sidious crafted it? I'd always heard Maul did it himself (as most Jedi and Sith tend to do.)

The battle damage refers to one half of the saber. When Qui-Gon cut the saber in half, it was "battle damaged". A double Maul saber, if unscrewed into two parts, gives you two "battle damaged" sabers. ;)
-
Another thing that shows the "battle damaged" aspect other than there being the maul saber split in half is to take a look at one of the pommels when it's in a single bladed status. You will see burnt copper wires and an exposed red crystal, this is to show that a lightsaber split the bad boy right in the middle where the red crystal is.

oh.
Duh :P
I'm done with stupid questions, I swear ;)

Heh, it was far from a dumb question. Everything on the single saber looked perfect except the pommel. It just looked like maul just unscrewed one half. I wondered the same thing until I saw pictures from all angles. ;)
-

If you're talking about the part that says "forged as a weapon of hate," that's actually referring to Maul himself.

um correct me if im wrong but didn't Obi Wan cut it in half?
I think the only difference bettween the battle damaged replica and the one in the film is the mr fx replica has a straight cut (for obvious reasons) and there was a slight angle on the cut in the film ))<===/ /===>(( ;)
