The FX Critter Thread
« on: April 29, 2018, 09:17:22 PM »
Hi, guys! I've created this thread for us to share a few light-hearted conversations about our household pets, something to brighten up the day when the going gets rough. Let me start this up with my pet story. I have a Siamese cat named Lilly. When she’s not scratching up the furniture, eating her cat food, letting off on her cat litter box or watching the television with me, she would usually cuddle and snuggle, play with the kids, and follow my wife around the house. Having a pet would help cope with work-related stress. It also helps you lighten up the mood, cheer everyone up at home. How about you guys?

I have a crested gecko, his name's Rex. He's a bit skittish sometimes but he's okay to hold in the evenings and is calmer and easier to handle then. He tends to change colour depending on the lighting and go anything from an olive green to a dark red, he's pretty awesome
He spends a lot of time on his fountain and under the plastic T-Rex skull I put in for him. At some point I'd like to make him a larger area that he can go in but the vivarium I have is a decent size anyway so it doesn't matter too much.
Lilly is adorable by the way :)

I have no pets, but the ones in nature.    photos taken in the Canadian Rockies.

I met this guy in a rowboat, he was swimming across a lake.  I quietly followed him to shore..
he didn't have much to say.  he didn't seem to care at all that I was floating 12 feet away in my boat..
he was EXHAUSTED from the swim.  (and he was too busy eating his lunch).

this little guy wasn't bothered by me either.  he seemed bored by my presence.
he actually fell asleep while I sat quietly nearby, snapping photos.
(his mom was there too.. lying on a rock chill-axing..
she must have thought I was one of the herd -- she just sat there and yawned at me -- like I was no threat at all).

THIS guy is strictly "distance shots only" -- I took this from 50 yards away with a telephoto lens.
he was NOT aware of my presence.  and I was NOT about to make an announcement.
I just kept quiet, and watched from a distance, as he passed on by.

Amazing pictures, they're all so cute (I just love all animals though to be honest )
What type of camera did you use by the way?
