Graflex 2.5 LED/Heatsink questions
« on: January 25, 2020, 10:17:48 AM »
I'm trying to do my first install on my korbanth graflex 2.5 and Ive run into an issue. since im not terribly great at soldering, I bought the MHS v2 modular wiring kit, which comes with an rgb tricre, a nano biscottie v4, speaker, battery, and a light up switch.

Since korbanths graflex is designed for 7/8 blades, I knew the MHS v2 LED casing definitely wouldn't fit, but I was surprised to find that that the heatsink itself is too large to fit inside the blade holder.

My question is where might a newbie find the appropriate sized heatsink to fit inside the graflex 2.5.

I already ordered the blade and blade plug so no, I don't intend on waiting for the 1 inch tcss adapter for the 2.5, since I think it will just be easier to find a heatsink that fits.

Ended up just grinding the threads on the heatsink down with a sander to fit it into the 7/8ths tube.. Wish I knew what size to buy to fit the kit :(

You can buy 7/8” heat sinks from the main stores, including TCSS.
