Title: Heavily Modded Hasbro E11 w/pics
Post by: robiwan on March 27, 2007, 05:39:33 PM
O.K. evryone here are pics of my Hasbro E11. This is what I did to the gun. The hump under the rear of the reciever was removed and replaced with sheet plastic, the hump in front of the trigger guard was reduced to be level with the stock. The scope rail was cut out and replaced with thin plastic stock. A portion of the upper reciever just in front of the scope was removed and replaced with rounded sheet plastic. The trigger itself was reshaped with sheet plastic to look more like a Sterling. A resin Filmfreak kit was added. This consisted of a mag, counter, new barrel tip, stock, d-ring and mount, & rear stock mount greeblie. The kit did come with cylindars but they were oversized. I made my own out of different sizes of plastic tubing. All of the seams were puttied and sanded and all screw holes filled. The gun was painted with Krylon flat black and then given a gloss coat, the counter was painted satin black (Tamiya), and the mag was left flat black. I did some weathering using a darkened silver color and then the whole gun was rubbed down with a cloth and graphite powder. A friend took the pics as I don't have a camera yet. As soon as I do I'll take some pics of it outside for more contrast. Hope you like it.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I wanted to see how much I could do before I tackled a full scratchbuild. There's a lot of great info on building blasters over at the blaster builders club. I will do a full scratchbuild this summer. Now if Hyperdyne will release his custom blaster kit Ill be in Heaven!

As am I.

Seriously, that looks like a MR that would cost 600 dollars or whatever the LE blasters cost.  Ever think about modding these and selling them.  Now thats a good idea, if ur up to it. ;)
