Last of the Acolytes before BabelCon!
« on: June 23, 2009, 11:02:03 PM »
Here is our final run of Acolytes before we concentrate on saber builds for customers and BabelCon.

These are all using Hasbro Economy Boards and Lux III Leds. Hope you enjoy, we'll be listing these either here or on Ebay shortly.

They all feature some slightly new designs and new hilt colors, keeping them unique!!

Master Jedye went outside earlier today and swung these around the yard to make sure they all hold up, .....I'm taking pictures after the fact, ...so I guess they're OK.

ACS#8

ACS#10

And that's not all we've done, .....but the rest is another post for another day, ..we have 2 SALEM Series sabers coming shortly. Stick around!  ;)

We're experimenting with new powdercoats.

Those new colors are Transmetal Red and Mirror white.  Hope you all enjoy!   ;D

Looks great guys!

The LED seems really dim though, but I'm guessing that's just the camera. I love the look of a lot of these, great job Gemini Concepts!

Yea, ...these are taken in my Living Room with 4 80w spiral Flo-Lights in the ceiling fan and 2 sets of 2 60w lightbulbs in each standing lamp. The room is BRIGHT., reaaaallly bright!  :o :o

I  wanted the hilt colors to be seen clearly.  ;)

:o whoa. Think you have enough lights? ;D

The one thing I do really really like about this, is that your camera doesn't seem to overexpose in this high lighting, so I can see the real color and the color in the blade itself, which is great! Looking forward to seeing the new Sentinels!

Humdingers of a saber ya got there, boys. Wow.....looks great!  ;)

Seriously though, I dig the Transmetal Red ones, the colors remind me of my K3Gr1. Isn't it amazing what a simple sinktube can morph into!

Great job as always. Love the ACS#9

That's our experiment with different textures.  The main body is a 1.25 sinktube, the brass overlay is a 1.5 sinktube (slightly compressed) and between them is a piece of leather/suede (that's the black part).  Personally, I'm not  a big fan of it...but it does add a layered feel to the saber.

I do, however, like the red set.  And I'd should have done another black and white one like that...with opposite color schemes. I like the idea of having two identical sabers but with reversed colors.  (Now I just need to learn how to duel with two sabers .... :) )

I really like ACS#8. Very nice powder coat, very Sith themed! Keep experimenting with the new colors, it's really fun to see what you guys come up with next!
