Darth Vader Saber problem
« on: January 19, 2020, 03:35:53 AM »
Hi, I bought a vader saber about 7 or 8 years ago as a present and it was taken out of the box, turned on a few times then put back in the box, with the batteries removed. Now I have just got it out again to display and it has problems. With new eveready super heavy duty batteries, when I turn it on, sometimes nothing happens, sometimes it buzzes (electrical sound out of the speaker) sometimes it lights up. Never hums.
Also, because it’s been packed away for so long the rubber on the handles has become kind of sticky, what’s the best way to clean it.
Regards
Lee

The "Super Heavy Duty" are usually cheaper batteries. I would try good Alkaline batteries to rule that out. Nut sure what to say about the sticky grip...
