Wire Gauge

Hey guys,

Hopefully I am posting this in correct location. I recently received a tri Cree from justinmars and have a quick question about wiring gauge. I have both 26 awg and 28 awg and was wondering which one would be the better option to wire it up with? The leds are going to be run at 1000 ma so I am unsure if 28 awg will be able to withstand the amperage.

either one will work. I personally use 26 awg

I use 28awg for all my builds. I wouldn't go any bigger than 26awg as it just take up more space without any additional benefit.

I use mostly 30 awg except when im wiring directly to the power source,  I use 28 awg. It saves so much space and never had a problem.

Crap... I just picked up 24awg wire spools. Should I change the order to 26?

Silver Silicone wire is the best. Military grade 8) love it!
