No matter what printer you get, there is probably a large facebook group for it. I strongly recommend joining the group especially if it's your first printer. You'll find a lot of existing resources, troubleshooting, etc. There are probably a list of recommended upgrades, some that might be considered absolutely necessary and of immediate priority. There are also tons of YouTube reviews, watch as many as you can so you know what you are getting into.
The most important thing to know about your new 3D printer, especially if it's a budget model, is that it is not a thing that "just works." It's a machine that requires maintenance, tuning, and periodic repairs. Any saber building skills you have will immediately translate to useful in this new, equally addictive hobby!
