Legacy Saber no 4
« on: December 12, 2014, 04:23:56 AM »
I am calling this particular Legacy number four only because that number is written on each part when I received it from Wat. He might like to rectify the name if I have misread the symbol.
Now, I love the Killer Penny, do not get me wrong, but I guess to each his own, and sacrilege or not, I have modified mine a little, and will probably do so some more.
Firstly I got a local machinist to make up a new rear grip, one of my favorite areas of the Legacy/K.P is the copper neck sections 'ribbing', so I wanted that look reflected in the grip also.
Also hope to reveal some of the same neck ribs currently hidden under the brass shroud, just simple slots cut for that. Also having some fun with blade plugs, the brass covertec button I had fits perfectly into TCSS  Thick walled one inch blade. This saber is so inspiring to work on, it is already fantastic, so I just need to make sure I keep changes subtle. Although, have a look at Corbins Killer Penny version 2, now that  is subtle, with a capital 'Amazing!!'

" No 4 was awakened some thing in the force" should be the title  :jedigreen:

Nice upgrade. Glad you had the "courage" to " touch" it ;) I'm still scared to look at the pix.

I love the Legacy. These hilts will be interesting to see the difference in ownership and displays.

You taste is impeccable. This is looking great.

Enjoy you prize! And MTFBWY

#4 is correct.  There is no significance to the numbers other than the order members 'bought in' to the run.  The numbers are just Sharpie numbering to help me keep track of which parts go together and what features each one gets.

Really should have got you (if it is not to presumptuous) to have signed the insides somewhere too! Oh well. I guess your sublime workmanship is your signature.

Looks pretty nice.

Definitely compliments the finned section on the neck. The covertech for a blade plug turned out really nice too.
