Because it wouldn't help. (He'd probably send it back to you :D)

Ultra uses the stock electronics and the Photon Saber use a 4 AAA pack ::)

I've got one I've tested it and it's got a vibrating motor that robbs power form the blade
and the 4AAA batteries just don't last very long :-\

Not to mention Ultra does a great job of preserving the integrity of the Copper buttons
and their chrome surrounds.

I've got my Obiwan EP1 with 4AAAs and no sound...vs my Graflex on 3AAs with sound.
who's batteries last longer?

The 3AAs last longer and were more consistently bright through out the life of the batteries.
And that's with Sound!

My MR conversions with the stock electronics can last up to 4 weeks with being turned on and off
everyday and being used for at least 10-15 min each time... sometimes more like 20 min.

The Saber with no sound and on 4AAA lasts about 2 weeks with the same use, before the batteries
are noticeably loosing power.

AAAs don't have the power a AA does regardless of overall voltage ::)

I didn't bother testing my Photon for more than a couple weeks because it's no where near as bright as
my other sabers.
Now it has gone to the technology graveyard you could say :D

Please... I really, really don't want to discuss them any more  :-\ it's a sore subject.

These are my tests and my experiences... nothing more nothing less.

I'm not directly saying don't buy their stuff I'm just not recommending them because I got
an unsatisfactory product not once but twice!
And the first one went back to be fixed once.. and came back esentially the same.

They would have benefitted by having actually sent me something worth the money they charge
But instead they engaged me in negative discussions and I've had it with the whole subject.

Unfortunately it has gone this way but, When I got my first product and was unhappy with it
I made suggestions, and they were apparently taken as insults.

My intent was to help them improve their products durability for starters, but it wasn't well received.
I'm not sure why because the others I recommend and do business with have talked with me
and we discuss ways to make things better for all the customers out there.

But then again the claims of this and that and who did what first ::)
I'd rather see a product worth the money.

And in the end if they hate me for wanting them to make a better product and they finally
do start making things better then... my mission would still have been accomplished but
not they way it was intended.

So to each His own and so on and so forth...

Based on my experience all I need for any FX saber work is to ask Yoda, if he doesn't do it, I don't want it. :D

Something like that. ::)

I was going to wait until Obi defends Luke, but as soon as Vader came along I was compelled to act. :D

I appreciate your insight Yoda. You very possibly just saved me a lot of head and heartache.

Why not sell your photon on Ebay as a lightsaber flashlight?  ;D

very interesting topic! Thanks for your adives Master Yoda.

Well, If you allow me to, I would add a suplier to those you gave:
https://www.plecterlabs.com/

It's the one who provide me the kit for my first home made Luxeon lightsaber .
He's very kind, and his stuff ( sound board on top of the list) is very good.

Hi all,

I have been a lurker here for a while but wanted to put in my 2 cents for a seller that I have delt with on 3 occasions.  RLSA sabers is the company.  His G style sabers are pretty nice and simple that you can still modify them to your unique taste.  I see on ebay that he occasionaly sells luxeon type sabers.  I have not bought his luxeon type sabers but looks to be using corbins components and blade.

I've seen RLSA around and from what feedback I've heard they do a great job with making unique sabers or they call G force sabers. I am thinking about buying one of there sabers in the future. Also I didn't like how darthvaderusa is using ultra-saber. It's not cool to copy somebody else who is working so hard to earn being one of the most respected luxeon conversions we know as ultrasabers.
