I FOUND MY UNICORN!! UPGRADED 11/22/12

 Nocturne Armory/Saberhead Conversions "Old Republic A" a.k.a. "Axis" lightsaber (as seen in "The Old Republic" trailers):   (for comparison)




video (this saber is LOUD! sorry it's a bit dark - I was just trying to showcase the fonts and custom boots) -
H7-5g

specs/features:

-hilt is custom machined aluminum and brass with black powder coating
-CF V5.1 in PVC chassis (w/ SD card access via functional access door secured w/ rare earth magnets - it's awesome!)
-Brass kill key from Force Relics
-7.4 V Li-ion battery pack w/ in-hilt recharge (2.1mm)
-2W bass speaker
-10W Led Engin RGBW  w/ green main and white FoC™
-green and red accent leds
-main and aux momentary switches hidden under flexible element on control box for touch plate activation
-custom boots by me  ;D
-7/8 Sabreblade w/ bullet tip and 1" adapter



-sound fonts purchased from www.saberfont.com including:

  1. Calibrate by Madcow
  2. Fates by Madcow
  3. TOR Crucible by Nightstorm
  4. Prime by LordBlako (Autobots.......Roll Out!)
  5. Hero by Madcow
  6. Valkyrie by Shadslinger


***UPDATE 11/22/12*** new pics/vid added

After running into problems w/ NA's internals, I turned to our own Kit Fisto for help. He completely rewired the saber and fabricated an awesome, mechanized "crystal chamber". It simply rocks when the saber is set to the Calibrate font. Stand is an Arm/Rod by Sanjuro and Razor blade plug with brass cone is by ARKM. Thanks for the great feedback and have a good holiday weekend! Enjoy....

wow, very nice, i like it. those Nocturne guys really know how to make good hilts man. i also have one of their hilts, its the Tesla Steampunk saber. and man is it nice. this reminds me of it.

i like it, i like it a lot. very nice.

how did you come abouts getting this hilt?

AFAIK, it's only one (very nice) guy  :D  I contacted him via his website several months ago and we worked out a build schedule. fabrication was surprisingly quick - approx 4-5 wks.

Awesome saber man! I love it and I want one. I'm sure the SabreBlade looks awesome in it. I'll check out the video later on. Congrats man!

Wes at Nocturn Armory has a very good eye in the majority of his sabers.  I've been wow'd by more than a few of his creations.  Nice Unicorn!

yeah, i read that you featured the font... then i watched the video.. and thought "hey, that isnt any of my boots"  ;) i read again and ...yes... you wrote "custom boots"  :D sounds really cool ;) but the menu sound is one of my boots, right?  ;) feel free to experiment with the font (as it offers a lot of opportunities with the bonus package)... i'm glad you like it  :)

...but now: back to topic to this awesome saber!  ;)
