Thanks yall, The support really helps. I'll admit that there have been some frustrating moments but all the positivity really helps    Once I get this last shipment in from TCSS I should be able to get the majority done.

OK EVERYONE !

I kinda had a breakthrough in my thought process about this crystal chamber delima !  

I didnt think Id be able to do it because that darn 18650 Stick pack is a BEAST !  8-)  

BUT NOW... Last night I had the coolest idea and I ponderd on it for over an hour just looking at the hilt pieces and such and then BAM!  I think I pretty much discoverd a WAY !  

IN THE CHOKE !

Ill let the pics do the explaining with small captions  

A small PVC Cap was my solution. Drilled a hole for the 5mm led holder and a smaller hole for the Main Led's wires to go through !


Heres a couple more !



Then I had to drill a small ( not all the way through )  hole for the copper tube that will hold the top part of the crystal !

This isnt finished. I still need to cut out the window for the crystal to show and the pvc cap will be fitted a little more into the choke too. All in all this should prove to be an excellent solution !   What do yall think ! ??

Ok so...

This hilt is going to have a small re-design from the choke down.. The main body piece was a MHS Blank extension #1 and well... not only has it been a nightmare to drill into and work with... but the chassis disks dont fit in them so Ive actually been having issues from the get go.

Im about to order new body ( hilt )  parts from TCSS. This will also include a new box solution as well with an incorperated AV Switch for main activation. Im gonna use box # 13 since I need Rice - Recharge and aux switch and it all kinda needs to go in the same place.  ugh....  Im still going to keep the crystal choke idea and other asthetic features I had planned but the body of this saber needs an overhaul !   

This saber is really taking a lot longer than I planned but !  Hopefully once these new pieces come in, Ill have everything else ready to go !

Ok so as I stated in the last post, I had to order new hilt parts... So what I did is I got on the MHS builder and made a picture of the closest thing I could to what Sentinel will look like when complete.

Trim Rings:  The Trim Rings will have grooves cut in them to match the pictures from the book. These will be powder coated also.

Crystal Chamber :  There is no "visible" crystal chamber in the book illustrations but I want one and the choke seems like a cool place to put it !

Powder coating :  Im going for a weatherd Brass look for the choke to try and get it close to the book illustrations. The other part close to the pommel... I havnt decided if Im gonna Powder Coat that just yet... What do yall think ?  Should I ?  

Control Box:  I changed from Control Box #1  to  #13  for two reasons...  1.  Box 1 was a little too small on space for what I wanted... 2.  I wanted the R.I.C.E. port and Re-Charge port AND aux switch in the same place..  So box #13 gives me all that AND an AV switch !   Should have went with this before really. lol    The control box will also be Powder Coated to match !  

Anywho, My new parts should come in next week so Im looking forward to hopefully finishing this build !   More to come !

Just saw this thread.  Looking good!  Don't want to confuse things any more for you (just trying to give options), but any chance of getting the battery in the choke?  I was trying to get a crystal chamber in my saber, but didn't have the space until I had a similar breakthrough when I realized my choke was *just* big enough for a 18650.  And yes, those things are beasts!

Thanks for the idea, Ive never thought of that but I think its a little late now. lol   However with the new hilt pieces I orderd I will have more room to work with !

Ok everyone !   here is a pic of the crystal choke !  It still needs a little sanding and all but I finally got the construction down !    

PVC Cap with 5mm led holder ( led inside later )  brass rod drilled into bottom part of the main led heat sink. and a small hole underneith the main 5mm led hole for the Main led's wires to pass through.

The Crystal is my Aqua Aura crystal secured to the 5mm led holder with safety wire !  It actually looks really good !  ( I think    )  

What do yall think ?

Thanks guys !   I just tried lighting it up with a AA test pack and a white and blue led... The crystal lets all the light shine through !  It is a really glass clear crystal too and the whole  "aura" part of it makes it even cooler because when its not lit.. You can still see colors in the crystal ( yet its clear as could be )  !  Im extremely happy with this particular type of quartz !

Ill say this again for those who didnt catch it...     The cyrstal used is  " Angel Aura Quartz "  Regular quartz with atomized platinum and silver particles infused into the crystal to give it the effect !
