One word to sum it up....beautiful. That's all I will say.
Though this is the end of the age of heroes, it has saved its best for last.

What a sad sad day for people of Colorado, now knowing you can't even be safe at the movies what a darn shame. I hope this man is repeatedly treated poorly the rest of his life in prison!

Seeing atrocities like this really gets my blood boiling!  >:(  *Looks over at CS-31* I'd like nothing better than to beat him within an inch of his life with my saber hilt (It's 14 inches long, trust me, it WOULD HURT) and then lock him in a cell with a room mate(s) that think very highly of his physical appearance, so to speak.

CS-31 V3

CF V5 w/power extender 8)
Tri-Rebel LED GGW (White FoC)
TCSS 2 Watt Bass Speaker
Hilt made with 100% TCSS parts! ;)

the shooting was like, 13 miles from Columbine high school.    I don't think this had anything to do with batman.

it has something to do with a (local?) culture that values easy access to assault rifles by teens and tweens.    :-\

While I agree with the sentiments regarding the horrific shooting that took place in Colorado,  we need to try and keep the posts here on topic (discussion of the film and whether or not you're going to see it),  so as not to have it degenerate into a political discussion where things can get heated,  and the Rules and Regulations get violated.

I live in a very small town. and our one screen theater is actually showing this. They did have a midnight showing the other night, But me being awake at midnight is on the rare side. But I will go see it this coming week. I can't wait.

went to an Imax shwing and the theater frak'd it up. they played the movie with no sound right up until the part where they unmask Bane on the plane. then the screen went dark for ten minutes. then the movie started with sound, 'in progress', at the point where Gordon is giving his harvey dent speech.. so we missed the entire aerial prison break at the beginning of the movie. they did NOT restart the film from the beginning.

later, when 'Talia' reveals herself near the end, the sound cut out again. again the screen went dark, and again, when it finally resumed, the movie continued 'in progress' with five MORE minutes missing from the overall presentation. people in the audience were pissed. some random biatch in the back row said (loudly) "..come ON people, we can always just come back and watch it AGAIN tomorrow!..." and I almost freaking lost it. it was all I could do to remain silent.

even if I go back and watch it again, the entire film has been "spolied" now, and I will never get to see this film in its entirety as a 'first viewing'.  the theater staff handed out 'regular price' passes as compensation, (aka: coupons to come back and watch it again -- but NOT in imax -- it turns out these free passes are not applicable to imax presentations). so if I want to see it again, in imax, I have to pay for it all over again.

needless to say I was pissed. DKR was definitely the worst experience I've EVER had, at the 'moovies'. (at least nobody brought a gun).

WEDGE, that sucks. A lot. Having seen it twice now, I can say nothing can beat the first time viewing experience of this movie in particular. Although I still do recommend that you DO go see it again...it is still definitely worth it the second time around, especially if you missed so much the first time. Its weird though, this isn't the first time I've heard of this happening, unfortunately...one of my friends had a similar experience. Oh, and as SNH pointed out, if you are going to say any spoilers, please type out

***SPOILER ALERT***

before the actual spoiler. But back on topic, IMO it was definitely worth the hiked up price to see DKR in IMAX. Just so many scenes were shot in IMAX, it really added to the immersion.
