Fingerprints on brand new FFX??

Sounds like the site going through amazaon (which deals with 3rd party vendors) is selling used ones to people by saying they are new...if they get a great shipping rate it would take a lot of exchanges to get a good one.  Most poeple would just keep the saber without noticing its imperfections or just keep the saber sealed in the box as a collectors item hoping an unopened one would fetch more money.

Well, I got the fourth one in. It's actually in better shape than the previous ones, but still with noticeable flaws. I was going to go ahead and just keep it. Then, I realized how hard it was to pull the blade out of the hilt when I removed the retainer screw. I had to yank on the thing really hard. And after putting in the plastic insert for when the blade is out, I coudln't pull it out!    It's seriously stuck in there. I have no idea how it's going to come out.

I'm thinking of going straight thru Hasbro this time. If not, I'll just return it and buy Vader.

I think at this point I'd just get the refund and look for another FX saber you might like.

Or maybe get the refund and then post a wanted ad for one here from someone that can tell you for a fact that it's in great condition...plus you get to see pics that way too

I'm getting a refund on it. Such a shame, too, as I really want this lightsaber. I'd like to try and purchase it again later; perhaps from an outlet other than Amazon. If only it weren't for the issue with the plastic insert being stuck I'd go ahead and keep it.

I don't think it is Amazons fault they don't make the sabers unless it gets damaged while in shipping, Hasbro just make poor quality FFX sabers now days which is a real shame since they are awesome

Yeah, totally agree. Amazon has been great with their level of service and willingness to correct the problem. I mean, they shipped me three replacements, call tagged the bad ones back, and expedited shipping on the last two. I'd actually be more willing to buy from them now than before. It's Hasbro that's really dropping the ball. With MR, I never once got a lightsaber that had handprints out of the box, or scratches that were noticeable as soon as you pulled it from the box, or chipping paint, or hand grips that had fingernail marks on them. There's no excuse for that. I'm surprised my previous three Hasbro sabers (Darth Maul removable blade, Luke ANH removable blade, and Obi-Wan ROTS removable blade) were keepers on the first go around. Though admittedly, they were not without flaws. But none of them were as bad as any of these four Anakin ROTS sabers I've had over the last few weeks.

Yeah although I have just gotten into collecting FFX sabers and haven't gotten an MR saber yet, the Hasbro ones that I do have aren't the best quality I have had to return a couple because of minor although noticeable flaws, it sucks but I guess there is nothing we can do but hope that someone more committed takes over the license but that probably won't happen for a while.

I just ordered a Kit Fisto FFX from Amazon. Here's hoping it's a good one. I'm not too worried about fingerprints since it seems to have an aluminum finish. I do hope it's in good condition, though, and that the blade can be taken in and out without much trouble.

My fisto saber had a few imperfections on it like the screw on the battery pack didn't work (but I fixed it) and the blade is a little rough to get out, but it wasn't that bad that I had to get a new one, but you should like fistos saber it is very nicely done.

I got my Kit Fisto. Overall, I really like it! Yes, it has its imperfections. In fact, the covertech clip is way loose. I'm going to need to tighten it. I'm a bit disappointed though because when the blade sequences downwards, the light kind of gets "caught" toward the bottom, so it's not a very smooth sequence. Anyone else come across this on their Kit Fisto?

i didnt notice mine at first but after reading your post i thought i would check it out, and mine does the same thing near the bottom it kind of gets "caught" one problem i did have was when i first got it and ignited the blade i was twirling it around a bit and it would just turn off, i got a bit worried at first but it stopped so i am relieved about that, it happens on my maul saber but only when the batteries need changing so i guess it is a good indicator. Besides all of the small (but noticable inperfections) i still like the saber the hilt is fantastic and the green blade is just awesome, i always wanted a green saber but since im not a Luke fan and Yoda's was to small for my hands i went with Kit's saber and i am happy i did.

Also did you notice that when you try and remove the blade it requires a bit more force to take the blade out then normal ??
