Not so close.

The gold is brass electroplating. I also plated the body in a thin layer of a nickel alloy, which is why it is so shiny in the sunlight.

With this, the bladeholder could be powdercoated without having to worry about the two PCs bleeding into each other/rough lines.

I still need to make another heatsink, and make a switch holder, but it seems to be coming along.

This hilt just gets better and better. Can't wait to see this hilt become a (duhn duhn duhn) saber! Great work Iggy!

Edit: I am wondering if an Igniter Mini might be a soundboard solution for this saber, granted its small dimensions and light power supply.
