Just a quick "thank you."
« on: May 19, 2012, 11:42:42 AM »
I'm a fairly inexperienced poster on these forums, though I have done a fair amount of lurking for a couple of years now. However, believe it or not, it was only a couple of days ago that I discovered the marvelous things going on with TCSS. As a result, I have spent more time playing with the saber building program over the last two days than should be legally allowed, and I'm so much more than impressed.

What an amazing resource, and what a genuinely inventive idea. And, what a tremendous boon to those of us who are absolutely captivated by the craft of saber building, but who do not possess the skill or the technology to mill aluminum, etc. To have the opportunity to design and purchase a unique, professionally-machined hilt with such ease and convenience is like my inner child's dream come true. I just purchased my first wave of parts from TCSS, and I can't wait for them to arrive. It's an elating experience to essentially design your own hilt and then have the parts shipped straight to your door.

So, to any and all of the people who have been involved in setting up this amazing saber-building experience, I want to personally thank each of you. Your time, skill, and obvious dedication to your craft are greatly appreciated- and how fortunate for all members of these forums to have this kind of resource at our disposal. As a saber fan nearly 30 years in the making, I want to say how fantastic I think TCSS is, and how great it is to have the opportunity to purchase the fruit of your combined knowledge, experience, and effort. Excellent, excellent work, all.

I have used TCSS since close to its inception.  I have always been impressed with the quality of parts and quick service Tim offers.   Right now I am moving towards more customized sabers with a local machine shop, but TCSS still will be needed and used to complete projects.  So, yes, TCSS is perhaps the most crucial company to this niche but ever growing hobby.
