Kit fisto saber turns off by itself

Hey guys i just got my Kit Fisto force fx saber today and when i turned it on and started swinging it around i noticed that it would turn off by itself when this happened the first time i just let it go but now that it has happened 3 times i am starting to get worried these are BRAND NEW batteries the brand is Duracell and they are the copper top ones im not sure what is going on any info would be a lot of help thanks

Is the switch still in the "ON" position after this happens or does it end up in the "OFF" position?
If the saber is on but with no movement (no swings or clashes) for 1 minute IIRC it will turn itself off.

I haven't seen a Kit in person, but also make sure that your pommel is screwed in nice and snug in order to make contact with the batteries.

The Master Replicas I've had in he past did the same thing if left on it will shut down by itself (power saving mode ) I assume .

This happened to me once during the video review of my Kit Fisto.  I replaced the battery pack and all was good. It hasn't happened since.  Probably issues with the pin contacts on the inside, either that or the removable blade....not sure.  Hasbro quality control has some issues as pointed out with their other sabers....

check the pins on the battery holder, make sure they're all there and not too scruffy looking.  Replace batteries, check again.  I've had a few MR sabers that had some sort of power saving mode.

thanks for the help guys it hasnt done it in a while and i dont think it is power saving mode because the saber is still in the ON position when this happens its like when i am swinging it around and then it all in a sudden turns off by itself i will try changing the batteries first and how that goes

In power saving mode, the switch will still be in the on position. It happens after one minute
of no activity such as no swings or clashes. Does it make the power off sound or does it
just cut off completely? If it just cuts off completely/abruptly, the it is probably a battery or
battery pack issue. If you are swinging or clashing and it still makes the power down sound,
it is probably a bad switch. Can you post a vid of it so we can see it in action?

I don't think it is power saving mode because it just cuts of completely this has happened to my Maul saber but only when it had little battery power left and had to change the batteries but my Fisto has brand new batteries. What would I have to do if it is a bad battery pack? Also it hasn't happened in a while and I have been swinging it around a lot but carefully lol so I would post a vid but if it starts happening again and a lot more frequently I will post a vid

I would wager to bet it was an anomaly like mine. Even some of my CF-based super sabers do some strange things every now and then

hopefully it is todd it hasnt happened in a while and i have been swinging it around quite a bit so hopefully all is good

Happened to me once. I had them all on my wall lit up for the photo op and, after sitting up there for a little while, the Fisto powered itself down. Figured it was a built in energy saver mode. I haven't seen it do it again while swinging it around and scaring my dog, didn't change the batteries either.

I have a converted Kit Fisto saber... it turns off after a minute or so with no clashes or swings... Scared me the first few times, until I was using it as a flashlight and it kept doing it. Then I realized it was an energy saving feature.
