Get em while you can!!!! Im in need of more cells, both for my flashlight obsession and future sabers! I totally know what u mean about this brand, they are indeed superior compared to trustfires/ spider fire/ super fire. This is very bad news....

I know, but only 1800mA discharge rate, with FoC this is by far not enough.

Take the PCB off and make a pack with a higher max discharge

I have always used the blue Trustfire 14650's and they have worked very well. Yes, with a CF saber with FoC. I am very happy with the run times as well.

You say that you can't go back to Trustfires, but if the AW's are discontinued, unless you can find a suitable replacement then you need to just roll with what is out there. It's just how the cookie crumbles, dude.

No PCB on the sanyo's I buy. I put a Tenergy 32005 PCB and they are fine on FoC, Impulse and Full Power setups.
No differences noted in comparing them to AW cells either.

Wise words and nice attitude, Caine.

But I made bad experiences with the blue Trustfire, they were working and runtime was ok.
I never expected them to have 1600 mAh, they had around 1100 mAh at the beginning.

After ten recharge cycles there were only around 900 mAh left, so I donīt expect them to last very long.
And a direct comparison of the same LED with CF 5 and one AW and one TF pack was showing a clear advantage of the AWs.

Maybe I didnīt understand it right, but when you drive 2 dies of an Ledengin serial at 1500 mA and adjust the FoC with a resistor to 1000 mA, doesnīt this sum up to 2500 mA discharge from the battery?

Honestly? I've found that the TCSS Trustfire 14500s have higher runtimes than the AW 14670s. Not by much, but you can squeeze maybe an extra 10-15 mins out of them
