Tri-Rebel showed up Friday afternoon,  and I got it all wired up:

I soldered the wires up,  putting the two greens CYANS in series (since this runs a 7.4v Li-Ion pack,  the series connection will draw less current,  and hopefully preserve battery pack run time),  then assembled the lens and the led into the MHS heatsink assembly:

Testing:

It has a pale green color to it as usual, not quite the cyan color I was hoping for, but  it's also nice and bright depending on the led setting used in the R.I.C.E. program.  In these pictures,  it's set to 800ma,  under the maximum rated current for this led of 1000.  I had it set to 1250ma,  and it wasn't much brighter,  so I set it back to 800ma and left it.  The pic on the right was my attempt at catching the FoC...not quite successful,  maybe it will show up better in the video. ;)

I think this one is DUN:

Well,  except for an actual blade for it....the one pictures is from this saber's older cousin,  CS-X.

Final Pics coming up shortly.

Great build post Qui-Gon, you have a fantastic saber there and it is immensely helpful when people post such detailed build logs. Thank you! :)

This did turn out nice:

Low light pictures:

Blade shown in these pictures is a TCSS Trans-white 34" (32" exposed) with a modified rounded tip (mirror mod to allow it to light up as well).  The blade is showing up a bit more cyan in these pictures than in person...it's more of a mint green.

Okay,  so here's the pictures of the saber with the Obi-TPM style pommel installed with the TCSS trim ring,  and the regular cube ring:

That doesn't look too bad...but I don't think I like it as much as this:

The Obi-TPM pommel actually adds counter weight to the blade for this one,  making it spin much better.

You've done a very nice job as usual.

Personally I like the pommel without the cubes though, and I think the emitter looks too small for the saber.  Makes the main hilt body look kind of "fat" in comparison.

Very shiny and very sleek though.

Fantastic build log, and, like all good documentaries, very inspirational. Nothing like watching a beautiful piece of machinery come together.
