Tri-Rebel showed up Friday afternoon, and I got it all wired up:
I soldered the wires up, putting the two
in series (since this runs a 7.4v Li-Ion pack, the series connection will draw less current, and hopefully preserve battery pack run time), then assembled the lens and the led into the MHS heatsink assembly:
It has a pale green color to it as usual, not quite the cyan color I was hoping for, but it's also nice and bright depending on the led setting used in the R.I.C.E. program. In these pictures, it's set to 800ma, under the maximum rated current for this led of 1000. I had it set to 1250ma, and it wasn't much brighter, so I set it back to 800ma and left it. The pic on the right was my attempt at catching the FoC...not quite successful, maybe it will show up better in the video.
