No, I don't think that's what Nova was saying at all.  If it were, the first post would have had a more in-depth breakdown, not just a short breakdown and a disconnected rant on labor.

I think that Novastar is reacting to the noticeable trend recently where sabersmiths are no longer getting the respect they're due.  Not really just people being outright rude to them, which I don't believe happens much - but more on the several recent threads which have been created... really, to complain about saber prices.  The prices are going up in the hobby, it's true - but so is the quality of the sabers produced.  The MK VI is far and away the most expensive piece in my collection, and from the custom machined lightsabers on the market right now, it's the best available replica.

I read this as Novastar saying, "You get what you pay for," not "Here's a helpful list."  He's right, naturally, but I think he was in a hurry and didn't post everything he might have meant to.

Of course, I could've completely gotten this wrong, and he may have just been trying to help out some of the newer members.  If that's the case, ignore this post, fellas.

yes congratulations cain,....and now i am sensing that  YOUR sabers will be very basic from now on? babies cost money but i can sell you a length of cardboard tubing for a very reasonable price.

I've got some leftover glitter and scotch tape from one of the kids' art projects, add that to your cardboard tube, throw a mag light in the center and make whooshing sounds, and Caine could have himself one mean looking nightlight.
